I think we as a fandom don’t talk enough about the implications of Rayla being in romantic relationship with a prince. Like she probably has a relatively low social status in the grand scheme of things. She’s just some random elf to everyone else.

I ‘d imagine it’s going to be an absolute nightmare for Opelie when the two are fully back together. Rayla’s probably also going to marry into the Katolis royal family. Which means she will have to parcipate and be involved with a lot.

Random TDP headcannons

- Callum has a high spice tolerance, Rayla does not

-Bait collects gossip and spills the less sensitive stuff to Ezran

-There is a relationship crash course every new castle staff member has to take

-The castle staff have bets on just about everything that happens with the dragang

-MANY a courtly schemes where ruined when Callum and Rayla became a thing

-The staff have a nick name for Rayla and it’s future princess or future mistress

-Callum and Rayla didn’t actually make a formal announcement about their relationship, so nobody but those who lives in the castle new and their relationship became court gossip

-Many if the girls at court were pissed that the prince would pick an elf over them

-Said girls tried very hard to ruin her reputation but got some very intense death glares and warnings

-Opelie has to handle all the PR and when Rayla left her job became ten times harder because Callum refused to do shit

I had a revelation today.

Arravos is a stand in for Lucife. Here me out

Arravos is a fallen star, Lucifer is a fallen angle.

Both were apart the fall of man, Arravos with dark magic and Lucifer with the fruit of knowledge. Both were cast out for their sins by God or a god-like figure (I still don’t trust Aditti). There’s more biblical stuff.

Rayla means something akin to sacrificial lamb. What was Jesus? The lamb which was supposedly suppose to the scapegoat for humanity. I. E. Rayla’s savior complex.

Callum means dove, I don’t think I really need to explain this one.

Ezra’s is very close to the name Ezra; the name of one of the prophets.

You remember how it’s tradition in Katolis to mourn a monarch for seven days and knights. That’s a Jewish tradition.

In short no story is truly original and my brain went weird places.
