Monday Motivation | Don’t Underestimate Yourself
Kick off your week with Monday Motivation!
Tip of the week
Job seekers: it pays to focus on applying for jobs for which you’re qualified. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that you should hold back if you think you’re a good fit. Don’t have training in a particular computer program or mastery of a certain skill set listed in the job posting? Employers often don’t expect applicants to check off every single desired skill. It’s worth noting that research shows that women tend to apply for jobs for which they feel 100% qualified, while men apply for jobs for which they’re 60% qualified. Don’t have a college degree? More and more employers are prioritizing experience over credentials, like Google, IBM, and others.

Noting this here because it looks like a fun thing to write something for. They take MF, MM and FF; it just has to be sweet romance (i.e. no sex) and involve chocolate in some way. Deadline August 31.
