i'm so excited about our dungeons & dragons campaign!! this was week two. i went early to help zach prep but i was late; it still proved to be really helpful and useful. we welcomed new players this week (we're still determining who will be permanent players because a lot of people who work in our building want to play so it'll be about consistency.) kenneth came really prepared which was helpful and i helped tiersa craft a character that would round out our party. i'm sort of serving as an assistant dm, and i'm keeping track of the story and character continuity as we go. i'm excited about kenneth joining because he and ayo have the best character voices so far. ayo comes up and orders things from me at the cafe addressing me in-character and it makes my day a little bit. so many technicians and other open works employees have talked to me and asked about our campaign. i think it has the potential to be really good.

Writing with a narrative structure rather than relying on messaging by numbers or bullet points also pushes people to think through problems within a fuller context. That deeper clarity is then wholly communicated to the team, in stark contrast to the bite-size pieces of information sprinkled throughout a PowerPoint in a traditional corporate meeting, which Bezos deems “easy for the presenter but difficult for the audience.”
