n is an idiot. more importantly, n is an extremely hard to kill idiot. the hard to kill directly enables the idiot.

n does not see through his facial display screen. unlike worker drones, a disassembly drone's optical units, all of them, are located atop the head along the crown. while there is still a camera in his lcd, a remnant of his past, it's not used by his systems. both the digital display and the expressions it animates are purely aesthetic, code which really only still runs out of habit.

i don't think N can feel pain. it'd be pretty inconvenient, being a creature designed to kill living targets ( which, yknow, do generally try to fight back. ) he could as a worker drone; one of the many failsafes humans tried to implement in their ai to keep them complicit. cyn took the liberty of patching it out.

n isn't the type for explosive anger, but i think if someone he cared for got hurt due to recklessness ( especially if it could have been avoided ) he would properly flip out. for the most part, even if n doesn't regard a person as particularly strong— granted, this is in comparison to himself —he doesn't generally worry too much for their safety, specifically because he feels entirely capable of protecting them. so if that's challenged, intentionally or not, if someone he loves gets hurt and he's not there ( or worse, they get hurt in his place ), it's not taken well.

#open.file('databank')#the only “upside” to what he is now is that he's strong enough to protect those he cares about #in the way he wishes he could have in the past #he'll conflict with self-sacrificing personalities or even potentially other “carrying the burden on their shoulders” types #because to an extent he sees himself as almost expendable #not because he doesn't value himself but because of the nature of his abilities #( he's actually got a bit of an ego. its not obvious at a glance but its definitely there )#he's more than capable of taking care of them. so let him
