EDUCATION: Emergency Management (Emergncy) URL: https://www.open2study.com/courses/emergency-management TWITTER: @Open2Study #O2SEmergncy
COMMENT: Excellent free online course from Open2Study, the premier Australian-based #MOOC learning system, similar to Coursera or edX. Emergency Management (Emergncy) delves into emergency management from the point-of-view of risk management practices in promoting a holistic, proactive, community-oriented approach in handling natural and man-made disasters and emergencies. Recommended for both professionals and community-based organizations and individuals, United States and international.
TODAY’S GOALS
Seeing as how I only created my studyblr an hour ago, I’m just going to set one goal tonight.
1. To complete Module 1 of Open2Study ‘Human Resources’, complete with notes! UPDATE: Goal completed!
Open2Study
I found this website called Open2Study AND ITS SO COOL! They have all of these online courses that you can take FOR FREE! I think I’m going to take Psychology and I am so excited!
Found this really cool site where you can study free courses - they’re short courses but very introductory so it’s good for people who are beginners and want to gain some knowledge in different areas such as science, health, social sciences, and other areas.
And by the end of the course you get a Certificate of Achievement! It’s not a substitute for units for higher education but it’s something to show on your CV/Resume, AND it’s just fun to learn new stuff and gain some more knowledge.
I’m currently trying it out and I have chosen “Chemistry - Building Blocks of the World” and it’s starts June 2. So sign up for one! They all have similar start/end dates. I just chose to do one for now to see what it’s like and how much time I need to dedicate for it but it does show on each course page the time you’ll need to dedicate - roughly 2-4 hours weekly - so not an awful lot of time.
Plus, they're always running these courses every month (I'm pretty sure) so you won't miss out & there's no rush to do heaps all at once.
Check it out guys!!!
