Zane has always been a really fun person to be around, but his sarcasm got him into fights when he was younger. Over the course of his first year at the Academy, he earned the nickname ‘sarcastic asshole’ from no other, than the King of sarcastic assholes himself – Master Cane. He’s smart, but since he’s dyslexic, he finds it very hard to adapt in some classes. When he was fourteen, he made a few friends in all the classes, but now he mostly talks to Bushi, Mai, Anh, Aura, Yeshil and June. They’ve never made fun of him for his dyslexia and they actually understand his sarcasm, except Aura who always shakes her head at his remarks and sighs. Zane’s best friend is Bushi, but he feels let down from the fact Bushi’s The Avatar, so that’s why he can’t really admit it. He loves pro-bending, because for him it’s a way for people to forget his imperfections and watch him kick ass, which is, as he says, a ‘win-win’.
His roomate is Nara Choe; they’ve shared a cabin since their first day, due to a mistake in the filled applications, because they’re the only girl and boy to ever share a cabin together in the Academy. The Masters couldn’t place them anywhere else, so they stayed like that. Even thought they hate eachother, their living arrangement works out.
Zane’s favourite place is the library, even though he constantly bumps into Nara and they’re forced to make unnecessary contact.
Cooking is when he’s at his best, because he loves doing it, especially if the Masters let him work on the canteen food.
