Gar's embarrassed gaze went to the ground, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm trying to say is..." His words could've come off as confusing to the other, so he felt he needed to clarify. "If you need a place to fall when it all comes crashing down, and you need it right now," he then looked up and smiled confidently. "I'm...I'm right here. It's okay to breathe."

Gar held his mother's pendant to his heart, hugging himself in hopes of keeping himself together. "I can't change the past, and I need to let go, learning to live with this hole in my soul," he confessed, "I'm losing grip, and I'm just trying to cope." He lifted his head to look at his companion. "I'm doing the best that I can to live with the broken pieces of me."

Gar had wanted nothing more than to be left alone. After losing Norro, he didn't have much else in the world to stop him from being reckless and self-destructive. Until now. After some time with his beloved, he finally gave in to his wants without hesitation.

With deep eye contact, he finally said something he thought he would never say. "I don't know if I'll be alright because if I didn't have you, I'd be better off dead." He caressed the face he had fallen hard for, afraid this was all just a dream. "You're the reason I'm still alive."
