4, 6, 7, 10, 11, 15, 21, 27, 30, 32, 33, 34, or any combination of these if it's too many :)
Omg. SO MANY. But okay, I’m going to do this.
4. what does your room smell like?
Citrus and orange blossom or some shit. We’re obsessed with those wax melt things, so it changes regularly.
6. what kind of music would you listen to if you could only choose one?
This is super difficult actually? But I guess I’d say 80s pop songs.
7. what song is your aesthetic?
Patrick Wolf’s “The City”. Not an 80s pop song, but it captures that vibe, is sung by a lanky bisexual weirdo, and is lowkey some kind of anticapitalist resistance but in the trappings of something that sounds poppy and frivolous. Also there’s a saxophone solo???
10. what do you wish you hated, but actually like?
Junk food, I guess. My body would probably thank me.
11. vague about your crush(es)
I don’t know what this means, lol. Is the question “am I”? Usually not, especially in person. I’m kind of a shameless flirt, including when I’m not actually flirting and am just trying to be friendly, which J finds utterly hilarious, apparently.
15. do you prefer space or the ocean?
Well, I’ve only been to the ocean and my biggest fear is drowning, so I'm pretty interested in what space might be like. Plus as far as I know, space doesn’t have sharks or jellyfish, just the crushing encounter with your own tiny, insignificant humanit-- you know, fuck both of these, I’m staying home.
21. is there a song you can’t handle listening to, even though you like it?
None that I can think of. I kind of talk like a music snob sometimes, but in general even if I “don’t like” a song, I don’t really care that it’s going on in the background. Unless I’ve heard it like 12 times in the past 2 days, in which case, I guess I’d skip it for sure.
27. what breakup was the hardest, if you had one?
I don’t know about the very hardest, because I’ve had a couple, but I think the most uniquely difficult one for me was with a person where neither of us had done anything wrong, but we were not compatible and couldn’t be friends after. It was really confusing and hard to wrap my brain around both the concept of a blameless breakup and the loss of a good friend because of it.
30. what instrument do you wish you could master?
Uggghhhh, this one might be a little boring, but guitar, probably. My dad played, my brothers both knew/know how to play, my mom knows how to play, and I don’t. At all.
32. do you have any strange interests?
Other than fanfiction? :P I really like asking other people about their encounters with things they can’t explain, and then listening to them try to explain it. I sometimes google this stuff or find those weird reddit threads where people talk about it, but mostly I prefer to hear it in person, because for me it’s not about the story itself, but the way people tell you: most people are a little sheepish about it, like they’re ready to not be believed, sometimes like they don’t really believe their own stuff, like they’re questioning themselves as they say it, and if you respond just right and are open-minded and nice about it, they’ll get a little more confident and tell you the wildest, weirdest stuff with an increasing sense of wonder and a surprising lack of embellishment, and that moment is really neat.
33. do you have any strange fears?
I used to think so, but the internet tells me most of them aren’t actually strange, just less spoken about. I’m afraid of mirrors in dark rooms, because I always think I see something other than my own reflections. I get startled by mailboxes when I drive at night, because they always look like people on the side of the road. I also am super freaked out by crickets and grasshoppers, lol.
34. what food do you binge on when you’re lazy?
Anything crunchy and salty, really, but most often whatever crackers we last bought on sale.
