HAVE THAT CHARACTER GAIN WEIGHT AS A SIGN OF HEALING: NOW
Briefly breaking my Tumblr hiatus because boot game is too fun~
I humbly request Archetto, my girl who never gets enough love, please! (And as a completely optional bonus, I'd also like to request Czerny, which is no surprise at all.)
Not taking any more submissions for this one! Just finishing up what I have left
Archetto
Confidence: 2
Ability: 4
Now you’d think a nun from a quiet Lateran convent would be pretty out of her depth in this situation and Archetto would agree with you when she first sees the boots
However.
She’s got the Idol Buff that really helps with walking in ballet boots, on top of being in fairly decent shape and having both the focus and pain tolerance of a warrior nun
She won’t be dancing in them like Sora or Haruka might, but every now and then another sister might notice Hildegard is making her rounds slower than usual today, with a telltale click clack echoing in the convent halls coming from beneath her robes
Czerny:
Confidence: 3
Ability: 2
Czerny’s societal standing make it very likely that he’s had at least some instruction on posture and poise, he has to maintain a certain level of refinement in the circles he’s in wether he likes it or not
This serves him well in ballet boots, enough that he could even potentially be at a 4… Where it not for his temper. He manages to get up ok but upon finding how difficult actually moving is he gets frustrated enough to actually stomp his foot leading to an explosion of pain that sends him to the floor immediately
i know we all love taking personality quizzes but we should drop the german or autistic one.
this one, yes. this quiz is published by the millerman school, run by dr. michael millerman.
putting it briefly, dr. millerman actively aids, bolsters and abets his clients and students into studying and upholding various schools of thought that justify white supremacy, imperialism, zionism and nazism by proliferating the reasoning that lies behind these views as a countermovement and alternative to modern academia.
Stop giving characters therapy and let them fist fight a metaphoric representation of their issues transmuted into rude meat.
I wanna try to get out of a art slump
Share your pretty dragons that I can play with and/or their humanoid designs
I can't promise how many I can actually doodle, but I will try to do some
I thank you for the shared dragons. I will try to do something for each if I got the brain cells
And on that note, they are gonna be memes
I just decided. Or at least for a chunk of them >:3c

"Gee Heath! how come lightweaver let you have two ancient manuscript?!'
Thank you so much; he looks so adorable and happy with his TWO (2) ancient manuscripts!!! Truly the Lightweaver's favorite boy!
behold the genderfuck radical queer character who is disrupting the fuck out of gender norms. and then the character is just someone with facial and body hair wearing a dress. and the implication here is that the combination of these traits makes it obviously wrong or imperceptive to assume that this character could or would simply be a woman -- it has to be something else, something Radical -- since women couldn't possibly-- !
back in 2019 when i was doing research for my thesis, i read Invisible Lives: The Erasure of Transsexual and Transgendered People (2000) by Vivian K. Namaste and around page 145 in that book, there's a description of a 1978 study that was done on sexed physical characteristics and how quickly people assume sex from these things, and what the study showed was that even when presented with abundant and obvious female-sexed characteristics (e.g. long hair, soft face, breasts), several of them were required without contest for participants to be confident sexing a subject as female, but if a single male-sexed characteristic (e.g. facial/body hair, square jaw, penis) was present, participants would overwhelmingly sex the subject as male with much more confidence even if there were contradictory female-sexed features. crucially, the presence of a female-sexed feature did not inhibit their confidence in sexing a subject with otherwise exclusively male-sexed features as male to nearly the same degree. the conclusion of the study, in Namaste's words, was that "interpretation of sexed bodies [is] overwhelmingly skewed in favor of masculine referents." surely this documented bias has no implications for the way people perceive or respect trans women, and surely when it comes to character design decisions or vacuum-assumed assertions that "clothing has no gender," ignorance won't be functionally interchangeable with malice. now to just take a big sip of coffee and
thinking about it (Ed, Winry, and the kids leafing through old photos on a lazy sunday afternoon. their oldest daughter asks if daddy still has that red coat he's wearing in the pictures. Ed thinks about it and figures that thing must be somewhere up in the attic still, so he goes looking for it. he finds it after a while, and it's... so much smaller than he remembers. he sits there with his legs crossed, red fabric bunched up in his lap, pantslegs stained with dust, and stares. Ed always transmuted these coats himself, made them to his exact measurements, and it's so damn small. he... was a child when he wore it. only a little older than his own kids. and that's a perspective he doesn't enjoy; looking back from twenty years on with children of his own, suddenly realising why adults tended to give them those lingering, sad looks. his son is twelve now, and the thought makes him ache. he sits there, up in the attic, clutching that too small coat, for long enough that Winry comes looking for him. he doesn't have to explain, because she gets it. always. everything. she squeezes his shoulders. the metal of his shoulder port remains a solid reminder amidst gently shifting muscle. he forces himself to file all of that away until the kids' bedtime and climbs back down the ladder to start dinner. hours later, Ed wanders into the living room- and stops. Winry is finishing up braiding their eldest girl's hair. gold on red and a smile so bright it makes his eyes water. their daughter is absolutely thrilled when Ed tells her to keep the coat, even though the sleeves reach beyond her little fingertips–she'll grow into it, Ed thinks as he kisses the crown of her head. then she'll grow out of it; and she'll wonder how it ever fit her in the first place.)
Would you rather spend a day running errands in + or - 30°C?
30°C (86°F)
-30°C (-22°F)
I've never been anywhere colder than -3°C but I'll still choose freezing over sweating.
over a quarter of those polled says they'd rather die horribly of hypothermia than get a little sweaty and i really really try not to go here but yeah i dont have trouble believing this is the celibacy website. extremities rotting and falling off like "yeah but i can always put another layer on"
-30C is quite easy to dress for. When I bicycled 14km to work, I did wear quite a bulky snowsuit for the commute once it got under -25, what with the wind. But most Canadians own a car, which makes -30 pretty easy. Most people don't even use full winter gear at that temperature if they're driving around.
+30 makes me physically ill if I have to go outdoors long. It's far worse than just "a little sweaty".
Actually, the reason to write that rarepair longfic that no one else is going to read is so you can go back and re-read it yourself when you're sad.
Or horny.
small tips for Enjoying Being Alive from someone who went from wanting to die to genuinely loving life. these won't fix your life but they'll make it a lot easier to want to live day by day. I promise.
tell yourself things you do not believe. it feels stupid at first but I've done this for years and now I believe it when I say "I'm good at this" or "I love myself" or "I deserve good shit!"
make a note of every mundane good thing that happens to you. mental or literal notes! could be as little as "the sky is a nice shade of grey, it's calming" or "I ate a piece of fruit today, I'm looking after myself" or "I talked to a friend". again, feels stupid at first, but I genuinely believe this is part of why I have so many "good days". trick your brain into storing things in your long-term memory that you wouldn't otherwise remember.
diet deficiencies can make you properly miserable. your physical health impacts your mental health more than you'd think. get some vitamins, some omega-3s and so on. whether from food or supplements. they can make quite a difference! your brain is responsible for a LOT of the way you feel, and giving it the fatty acids it needs to function at its best can go a long way.
