Piper Lulamoon was adopted by Trixie and Cheese immediately following her birth, saving her from an ill-timed fate. She'd been conceived through wrath and raised in loving comfort. Piper was not told of her biological parents until much later in her life, and never questioned it until then. She adores her parents, Trixie and Cheese, but often pines for Starlight Glimmer's attention.

Because of Piper's unfortunate sequence of events leading up to her birth, Trixie immediately took the minotaur onto the road, taking up traveling and showmanship alongside her husband, in order to remove Piper from Starlight's home. Because of this Piper was rarely in Ponyville or Canterlot, and has grown up living within her parents caravan in numerous locations making her well versed in different cultures and species of creatures.

In Piper's adulthood she returns to Canterlot as a commissioned monster hunter under Princess Luna. Her strong, silent demeanor meshes well with the Princess of the Night's solitary personality.

Rarity and Maud’s relationship could be categorized as a slow burn romance. Maud Pie visited Ponyville often to spend time with her sister, Pinkie Pie, but when doing so she also took up work alongside Rarity in finding hidden gems buried within the old mines behind Sweet Apple Acres. While Maud was quiet and kept to herself, she was the perfect listener to Rarity Belle’s impressive ability to yap, and really quite enjoyed it. The two silently became a pair without much surprise to the ponies around them.

Maud Pie’s family is made up of mules (with the exception of Pinkie Pie who was adopted). The first and only born son of Rarity and Maud was a dashingly handsome little mule and unicorn hybrid; a mulicorn if you will. They named the little colt Celestine, even though there were options given by Maud such as “Boulder Jr.”, “Conglomerite Pie”, or even “Gravel”! It was never really a shock when Rarity nixed all of them and settled with “Celestine”.

Celestine is mute. He does not speak audibly and instead communicates with a form of sign language developed by ponies that includes stomping, ground scraping, snorting, ear flicking, etc. He also, like his mother Maud, is fairly expressionless most of the time, giving little to no facial expression to aid in his communications aside from expressing in moments of extremity or high emotion.

While Celestine seems to be boring, he actually has quite the social life. He’s the drummer of Retro Dash’s band “Mama’s Boy”, as well as runs an extremely popular salon that others travel out of the city to visit (if they book in advance!).

Another Opheliaverse redraw! 2025 vs 2017

As a child Nessa Mae and her mother were extremely close. Nessa would constantly be found hovering around her mother's hooves and often causing her to stumble. With Nessa being a Centaur, she quickly became rather large compared to her mother, which made her easier to see ans avoid as a falling hazard!

Nessa is a blunt, hardheaded foal, but also extremely sensitive and taking in the feelings of those around her. She hides her emotional side with a type of personality block; making her come off as intimidating and rude. But behind closed doors she actually has quite a hard time regulating her emotions, causing her to often have a wrecked room and torn-up toys *that Fluttershy lovingly rrepairs each time, no questions asked).

Fluttershy of course adores her bullish, emotional baby and works hard at showing her how to be gentle and kind. The two can often be found around Fluttershy's cottage tending to wildlife, gardening, and hosting tea parties or picnics.

Nessa Mae grows into a loving but extremely protective daughter, becoming even more attached at the hip to her mom. Fluttershy and Nessa's friends always come first, never choosing herself over them, even if it's in her best interest not to. She is deathly loyal and attentive to those she loves.
