He saw it happen. Who knows how long it was going on for before he arrived. Daryl felt a tightening feeling in his stomach, anger pumping through his veins as he sprinted towards Carol. This reminded him too much of his childhood. He couldn't watch it happen to another person. Especially a woman.

He shoved the man away, and began to serve the same treatment that he gave to Carol. Except he turned out looking worse than she did. The violence continued, and he didn't know if he was going to be able to stop. He was struggling heavily- the anger was overwhelming. Eventually, he managed to stop himself from actually killing the man. Turning around, he faced Carol and looked at her apologetically.
