what is your opinion on factives then?

short answer: factives are Good

long answer: factives cannot help who they are & were brought into their system as they are for a reason. they commonly take the form of either abusers or people who offered support to the system & are a necessary part of their system’s functioning.

honestly i refuse to accept any headcanon that felix is an asshole to be an asshole, and that he isn’t a tragic character at all like

did you miss the part where it’s canon felix went through one of the worst battles in the great war? where his entire squad was killed off besides him and locus? that abusive C.O.? do you really think that C.O. kept that “you’re nothing but a suit of armor and a gun!” to just locus?  where he wasn’t able to return to civilian life? 

felix has no redemption, of course not. but saying felix isn’t a tragic character because he’s a raging piece of shit isn’t right.

felix can be a raging asshole with an ego the size of a sun with lines that are “what if i am too good looking?” and still have a tragic past and story to him. he can have a tragic back story and be just as horrible and irredeemable as he is. characters having a horrible past doesn’t excuse their behavior, it just give it context.

its one thing if theyre actually doing something that is oppressive and/or harmful to others, but degrading someone’s opinion JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE CIS is Not Okay

kindly reflect inwardly for a second and think to yourself, “has this person really been shitty to the trans community and is in need of being called out on it, or am i being an asshole for shits and giggles?”

please treat people like people and not garbage its common sense
