i'm sorry, the garp scenes are so funny because garp's just like 'i am a Serious Marine, looking for a Serious Pirate' and coby's so scared of him, and it's just like....that's his freaking grandson. he just wants to mess with his grandson. he's diverting marine resources to teach his grandson a lesson. coby has no idea.

There is always that moment… that specific moment when you suddenly realize to yourself that maybe, just maybe you have watched something a little too much when you start quoting the entire dialogue… it’s never too much though 😁

I’m on who knows what number rewatch of One Piece and I just automatically quote random points all the time now. This is my life and it is obviously bright 😂 Definitely does not indicate a currently poor mental state… not at all

while i love zoro's official joining scene in the manga, i do have to admit i love the dynamic of just luffy and these two cynical idiots who've just Accidentally ended up travelling with him.

buggy is genuinely so much more unsettling in the live action. like, the chained audience??? it's all so nightmarish. the music really adds to the vibe.

this makes it even funnier when, by the time you get to the final episode, he's Just Some Loser.

the scene where shanks gives luffy his hat is so well-done. it's so lovely, and the ost just elevates it. also i would fight anyone who says peter gadiot doesn't make a good shanks. he's so good here.

i'm so glad they kept in buggy's irrational obsession with thinking people are talking about his nose.

luffy: i don't know...

buggy: NOSE? are you talking about my NOSE????

also another peak zoro thing is, despite having never officially joined luffy's crew, he's just ride or die levels of loyalty right out of the gate.
