If I’m honest I feel like it would have just made sense to make Elena Mexican & then have other characters be from different Latin American cultures??? Like idk I saw Mateo as being from Chile (his tamborita is based off an indigenous culture there??) & then I just liked the idea of Gabe being from Guatemala that was just a hc i had snsksksk

Looking back at season 4, we saw Samar, Cooper, and even Aram express some anger at liz for faking her death. But not Ressler. Do you think he wasn’t mad at her or they just didn’t show us?

I think you’ve picked up on exactly the right point, anon. He wasn’t mad at her because deep down, he understood why she did what she did. That’s why when Cooper told Ressler and Samar to go to Cuba, Samar refused because she couldn’t get over Liz’s betrayal and Ressler didn’t hesitate.

Ressler understood, I think, because he’d already experienced the loss of Audrey, and a potential child, and any chance at a normal life because of his involvement with Red.

And why, when he finally saw Liz after her faked death, his reaction was not one of anger or betrayal but rather open arms.

I think these moments were purposeful as they were important to rebuilding trust between them after the on-the-run arc of Season 3. Because their relationship has always been different than Liz’s relationship with the rest of the Task Force.
