A Completely Nonsense Miraculous AU:
Somehow, Gabe loses track of the butterfly miraculous or never found it in the first place, so he has to fix the peacock before the show begins so he can use it to send sentimonsters to bring the heros out.
Except the heroes that show up aren't Ladybug and Chat Noir, because just in time, the butterfly miraculous is found.
And it's a kind of open secret situation? Like she's not going around recklessly announcing her identity to people, but there are those who are in the know.
Seeing as Typhon seems to target her students quite a lot, she decides to help them protect themselves.
She gives whatever student targeted by a sentimonster an Akuma that will help them stay safe.
At least until Ladybug and Chat noir show up, because yes eventually, they do join the story.
Much the same way, in the same time and place they did in Canon.
Except now for the last few weeks of the previous school year, they already had a...
Well, they're not really sure what to call Fleur De Brume. Well, other than her name, of course.
She chose Mistflower because it attracts queen butterflies, of which her design is inspired by.
But she didn't really want to call herself queen of anything, she really wasn't.
What she was is kind, caring and protective over her class, which were all like family to her.
The class are practically in on it by the start of what is the canon season 1, Adrien joining.
She's just very honest and straightforward with them, and they know if they'd ask, she'd tell.
So they simply decide not to ask.
They do need to update Adrien about it, but -
It's a brief conversation.
She seems cool, he gets it.
But the thing about amoks vs akumas?
The direct mental lines of communication between;
Peacock user and amok holder = balanced
Peacock user and sentimonster = imbalanced
Amok holder and sentimonster = IMBALANCED
Now this is a rather big generalization but what I mostly mean is this -
Unlike in canon where hawkmoth can pressure his akumas through a failsafe and hear all their thoughts, the peacock is a bit more abstract.
All he can threaten you with in unmaking the senti he sent you, and pressuring you to do as he says or give him information.
The only evidence we've seen of the peacock being able to hurt living things is when it's unmaking a senti, or when it's user is threatening to do so.
So it stands to reason it's not as solid of a mental link as the butterfly miraculous.
Rather than rely on your immediate gut reaction and surface thoughts, it links to a deep feeling.
I don't think an amok can allow you to read or direct your target's thoughts.
At least not as much as an Akuma.
In the first weeks of her new role, she only gave the students powers that would negate, protect from, or de-escalate the senti.
But as Ladybug and Chat Noir started handling the situations, they also came after the akumas, trying to convince Mistflower to give them her miraculous.
They didn't want to fight her, and they seemed like nice, upstanding citizens whom she didn't wish to fight as well... but nobody tells Calline to back down from defending the people she cares about!
And that's when she turned from benevolent guardian of the city, to an anti hero with an agenda.
To be clear she was still very kind, careful and compassionate, always asking and not telling, and using the failsafe only in emergencies.
For all intents and purposes, she was still everything a good butterfly user should be.
The only problem was that now she was opposing not only Typhon, but the heroes too.
And to make matters worse, she may be starting to catch onto two of her tardy students.
And when the next school bell rings, well...
Class is gonna be more intense than ever.
