Sin of my skin
Throughout history different groups of peoples were oppressed for different reasons; some were oppressed because of their religious beliefs while others were oppressed for their sexuality and gender. All oppression is bad, but the worse kind of oppression is the kind that we cannot run away from or have an option in the matter. Those who are oppressed because of their religious beliefs can be deceptive and pretend that they’re not practitioners of that particular faith and they even have the option of converting. Those who are oppressed because of their sexuality have their closets, which is another way of saying that they can express their sexual proclivities in secret. But when people are oppressed because of their skin then there is no closet to hide in, no running away or pretending your way out of this kind oppression.
Society through racism have legalized all wrongdoings against my black skin; being that my skin is a crime in the eyes of society, I was a crime while I was in the womb and was born a suspect because of my skin. Society sees my skin as a green light, though my skin is black; a green light to put its foot on my neck. Greenlight to redline me out of its precious suburbs and force me in an environment in which I can’t breathe both literally and figuratively speaking because this environment is saturated with air, water, and noise pollution. When a man sin or crime is not based on what he had done but rather based on who he’s then this man will always be unfairly judged and punished by a society that can’t see past his sin, which is his skin.

Sharp used to have long bright hair. Sometimes she was called “Beautiful girl”, but at age 5 she started hating being called like this.
Her relationships with her mother were very bad. She preferred to be warrior than a witch and always fought with her mother against being girly girl.
As a child her favourite stuff to do was climbing rocks, pinch her siblings and playing with other Nightbrothers.
Once she demolished one of the stalls in Nightbrothers’ village.
At age 16 she was strong enought to break a jaw.
