((He’s more excited to see them. Though he’s like that with most people he’s close to, this is special. It’s hard to describe, but it’s not sexual? He doesn’t love anyone any less, this is just a different kind of love, a different kind of excitement. He’s full of energy, even if he’s been drained from work.
He almost always finds an excuse to touch them. He’s a touchy guy who likes physical contact. Though, he’ll try not to seem like he’s being clingy. It’s kinda like a puppy. He just wants to be with them as much as possible. He wants to know about their interests, cheer them on, or cheer them up when they need it. He wants to be their constant source of positive energy, even if it might be detrimental to himself.
He’s also slow to realizing his own emotions, so it might take him a bit to realize what he’s doing. At that point, he’ll try to be less... himself around them. Not distant, but less touchy and less excitable. He doesn’t want to chase them away being too zealous.
There are negative sides to his affection though. He’s got a nasty jealous streak, and he’s self-conscious, especially if his lover is younger and gorgeous. It can be a drain because he will dump on himself, and sometimes his jealousy and lack of self-esteem can cloud his thoughts. Like if his partner wanted to go out looking their best, he might worry they’re looking for someone better. It’s best to be patient with him and remind him of his best features. He’s not a terrible guy, he’s just insecure after being by himself for so long with the only company being a mask... Who wasn’t the best conversationalist.))
