When you're down and troubled And you need some loving care And nothing, nothing is going right Close your eyes and think of me And soon I will be there To brighten up even your darkest night You just call out my name And you know wherever I am I'll come running to see you again Winter, spring, summer or fall All you have to do is call And I'll be there You've got a friend If the sky above you Grows dark and full of clouds And that old north wind begins to blow Keep your head together And call my name out loud Soon you'll hear me knocking at your door You just call out my name And you know wherever I am I'll come running to see you Winter, spring, summer or fall All you have to do is call And I'll be there Ain't it good to know that you've got a friend When people can be so cold They'll hurt you, and desert you And take your soul if you let them Oh, but don't you let them You just call out my name And you know wherever I am I'll come running to see you again Winter, spring, summer or fall All you have to do is call And I'll be there You've got a friend -You've Got a Friend by Carole King Also follow Ichabod on: - Comic Fury - Facebook -

February 6th, 2014: When life gives you lemons,
you make lemonade! ^______^ I had this small assignment for my personality psychology class in coming up with a method for people to be more optimistic about things, and I figured that working around the whole "when life gives you lemons..." phrase would be neat. SO, how does one become more optimistic!? Simply gather a bunch of lemons and those lemons will represent the "bad things in life". So whether it's losing a friend, going through a bad breakup, or even getting a horrible grade on an exam, you would write those little unfortunate events on each lemon with a permanent marker. Then you would get a knife and cut those lemons in half as a way of symbolizing how you have moved on from that bad event. It's basically a way of showing how you are "killing" that event, thus conquering it! (lol, I'm such a nerd). And what next?! You make lemonade with those "bad situation" sour lemons. You add water and sugar to symbolize how at the end of every storm, there is a beautiful rainbow to sweeten your "sour" situation (HAHA, i need to stop). Kinda like a taste of your own "sweet victory" (i just had to) and how you conquered that horrible obstacle in life ;) So whenever you are feeling down, just put that in your lemonade and enjoy the sweeter things in life! Plus, who doesn't love a nice glass of fresh lemonade, hmm!? :) Anyways, be positive c:
There are absolutely no worldly circumstances under which you can't or shouldn't be making the very best of things.
