OPULENCE : THE PUREBLOOD SOCIETY
The Roaring Twenties. The Jazz Age. In the Muggle and Wizarding worlds alike, the year 1920 is a time of great social change—while hardworking suffragettes are pushing for equal rights the wake of the First World War, activists against the centuries old doctrine of blood purity are becoming increasingly vocal about their demands for social reform. With more liberal ministers inheriting office, it seems the long-lasting struggles of the less fortunate are finally coming to fruition. Yet at the very highest stratospheres of society, where change is neither desired nor welcomed, life continues on as normal. Or does it?
Aristocratic features line their pretty faces. The most precious of blood flows through their veins. From head to toe, they are the finest of heirs—fawned upon from their very conception, their very creation. They are born and bred to treat the world as their kingdom. Perched upon thrones built by their ancestors, these unscrupulous individuals spend their days studying the havoc they have wreaked, the destruction they have caused, in their constant search for a new sensation better than the last. On one hand, the thrill of the forbidden calls for those with a growing darkness in their hearts, whereas those who wish to keep their eyes closed to the world plead and beg to be pretty little fools.
With their old shenanigans exercised inside the walls of Hogwarts exploited in the tabloids the names of Jonathan Avery, Lycoris Black, Regina Lestrange, Celeste & Nicholas Malfoy, Arabella Nott and Alexander Rosier have been on everyone's lips. Their parents have met the allegations with roars and vicious retorts whereas the children whisper and smirk in the background. They smile prettily for the cameras –– knowing that they will never be punished for age old crimes. To the masses they appear like princes & princesses, and behind the scenes their parents make care to create an image of perfection. People want to be them –– and the little group are happy to enhance the feeling. They will smile at you, compliment your clothes and then stab you in the back before you even expect it.
Thick as thieves and only loyal to each other these eight children born from privilege wants for everything and have it all.
