i loved the opening sequence of the people in the crowd of moretti's show and how the shot of each person dancing to his music was isolated against a black background. it gave me a slight feeling of unease. whenever the camera would focus on someone's starstruck face and show a light in their eye, that was excellent and a little unnerving, really made them look like they were under his spell. i also think it was so sick how ariel was the final girl but like moretti PICKED her to be the final girl.... pre planned final girl. i think she definitely had the chops to be the final girl on her own but it just added another dimension to it that i really enjoyed. that whole conversation in the beginning with her friend saying how's she essentially just middle of the road (didn't grow up poor or rich, parents are well adjusted, no traumas, etc) and how that ended up being the reason moretti picked her out...
