What is a man-day?!

I believe it's just a way of saying that people worked for that many days. You still occasionally hear the word "man-hours," for the combined amount of hours done collectively by all people on a job, but I think "man-day" has fallen off the grid. Now, "man-day" just reminds me of The Man Show. Oh, and it wasn't explicit, but that report was distributed in 1985.

Personal question: What is the thing you enjoy most about being a teacher and why?

When the person I'm working with finally gets something, especially if it's a struggle. I love that look people get when they finally understand something, that slow smile and the light in their eyes when it finally clicks into place. I live for that; that is why I do what I do.

At least you know she's protecting you no matter what..? Trying to see a good side.. or maybe better not. At least now she's with someone who loves her.

Well, we know she definitely prefers me and does tend to get between the two of us if we're sitting on the couch. However she did just let him brush out her tail, so I guess there's no hard feelings unless Mommy says so. But that's a good point about if anybody were to come into our home or try to attack us while out on a walk...

One of the reasons why so many Europeans are wondering what "freedom" is supposed to be. The freedom to rule? The freedom of something? The freedom to do whatever you want? Or the freedom to forbid?

One thing I have definitely noticed is that most Americans are ignorant of the meaning of the word "irony" in nine situations out of ten.

To get rid of the rest colour: Grind some vitamin C tablets (or take powder), mix a tea spoon of it in your usual shampoo (best without silicone), put it in your hair and tuck it under a towel. Keep warm for about an hour and wash as usual. Put some olive oil in your hair afterwards because it will probably be dry (olive oil pulls colour, too) to minimise damage. Repeat if neccessary after a few days to give your hari some rest. Hope it helps!

Ooh thanks! This color was the wash out kind so it should be gone by tomorrow but since I need to go to work tomorrow and can't have color in I will make sure in case it doesn't to get some Vitamin C tablets.
