Leaving Tumblr
I really don't like the way people have become on Tumblr, how problems are now a badge and people are trying to be 'more oppressed' than each other. Tumblr was a place where people who were different could escape, not amplify their problems x100. It's ridiculous, I'm sorry. I don't want to be a part of a community where people introduce themselves as their problems, or think that self diagnosis is perfectly okay (and apparently sometimes better). I don't want to be a part of a community that claims it wants equality, yet will take any chance to insult and degrade people of a majority.
Do any of you remember that everyone else has as little a choice in who they are as you do?
Day by day Tumblr gets more ridiculous and it makes me so mad. Like, ci-scum? Do none of you have parents? Because most of your parents are these 'ci-scum'. Tumblr has welcomed in 500 new ways to be an elitist and frankly I've had enough. As much as I love the creativity and wonderful art and edits on this site, the other side of Tumblr takes up such a large portion it's impossible to avoid. So I'm going to leave, and I'm going to go outside where people introduce themselves by name, not their problems. You can be proud to be who you are, but don't deny yourself help for internet points.
To the my friends and especially the Grimm fandom, I'm sorry I can't stick around. This doesn't mean I've abandoned the Grimm fandom however, I'm about on Twitter with an account for UK fans.
I really appreciate all the support this blog has gotten the past year, I'd never have imagined 3,000 followers and I'm really grateful that you've all liked this blog enough to follow. But as I've said, my time on Tumblr is up. My ask is closed and my blog will remain as an archive for old edits, but I'm logging out today and I won't be logging in again.
So, not to be any more dramatic, but I guess it's goodbye. Thanks to everyone again, and I'm sorry I couldn't stay.
