Higgs is the guitarist of a band that plays gigs at bars and clubs. Evan gets dragged by one of their friends to go to one of those clubs to experience something "new" and because "they need to get out more." Evan is a bit afraid of this because of their introvertness, but agrees. Seeing this as exposure therapy for their social anxiety and to make their friend happy. The other people at the club are partying and having a blast. While the both of them sit down at a booth, which is when the rock band walks onto the stage. The lead singer introduces the members, and everyone cheers. As the show begins, Evan's eyes stay fixated on Higgs. Yeah- he looks hot- What do you want me to say? But also out of interest, his style in clothes, his skill at playing the guitar. It's mesmerizing! And then their worst nightmare comes to fruition. He catches them staring and gives them a wink. OH MY GOD! Their face grows red, and for the rest of the show, Evan just look at the ground while their friend teases them. After the show is over, Higgs walks over to Evan's table and flirts with them, offering to buy them a drink. At first, Evan refused because they didn't want him to spend his money, but Higgs insisted, so they told him that they just wanted some water. The friend leaves the two alone "to go to the bathroom" and definitely not to give those two some alone time. Higgs questioned if they didn't want something else, which is when Evan opened up about their dislike of alcohol due to some stuff in their past. And suddenly, things got a bit more real. Higgs didn't just see them as a fun way to pass time. He actually kinda started to relate to them. Instead of indulging, he ordered two waters. Evan was surprised and also happy by Higgs thoughtful choice to make them more comfortable. The two of them talked the rest of the evening like they were already friends for ages. Laughing at each other's jokes and telling stories. Before Evan was leaving the place, Higgs wrote his number on a piece of paper and gave their hand a little kiss.
