Omg Dave Strider is so cute. He has the best bed hair, and when he's waking up, his eyes before he finds his sunglasses, all sleepy, are the Best Thing. And just after he's showered and his hair is still slightly damp, and he smells really floral because he uses Rose's shower gel.

Imagine this: Karkat wakes up before Dave and is sitting in the living room or something. He looks up when Dave walks in and just. JAW ==> DROP

Dave shuffles in because he is still *TOO TIRED* so he’s just. Barely walking. And he’s got this WILD bedhead that goes right to Karkat’s gut because it’s fucking HOT AS SHIT OK DAVES BEDHEAD IS SO GOOD anyway *coughs*

Karkat is like. Dumbstruck. Dave is wearing a way oversized tshirt and boxers and that’s it? And its hella adorable?? His eyes are lidded he’s barely awake but what’s shown of his eyes behind crazy long eyelashes is this BRILLIANT BRIGHT RED its absolutely VIBRANT, they look sort of like bright red rubies and passion and fire and its CUTE AND HOT

And then he yawns and makes a teeny little noise with it like small and cute and kinda kitten like and Karkat just MELTS. AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN!!! He says “mornin” bUT HIS SOUTHERN ACCENT SLIPS OUT BIG TIME!! ITS THICK AND TIRED AND CUTE and Karkat just fucking DIES he LOVES DAVE SO MUCH

Facing east, overlooking the horizon, stands an oak tree, ancient and strong. Dappled sunlight filtering through the colorful crown. Reds, oranges, and yellows paint the roots and hillside. The gentle breeze scatters the fallen leaves into the world. With the autumn forest to the left and the city sprawling to the right, the Mountains rising in the far distance, covered in mist. The landscape is captured in a beautiful array of oils and chalk, framed in polished oak. A masterpiece in plain sight welcoming visitors into the old homestead. I still remember the day I started painting this memory, the day I met you.

Odd Sisters: A Humble Request

There was silence in the room. The ticking sound of a clock counting each second that they sat there. It was unsettling, nerve-racking. Sakura had taken her baby sister to a place neither dreamed of ever being welcomed to; their father’s family home.

It was strange, and it just got worse the longer they were there. There they were, in a large tatami room,her proud older sister on her hands and knees, nose nearly touching the floor. Was she shaking? It broke Saki’s heart to witness the scene.

“Please, take Saki!”

It was so straight-forward, so sudden. It startled Saki. She would barely comprehend why this was happening.

Sakura had just started her training at the Academy. Worried for the younger’s safety and well-being, she could only seek help in the one, most unusual place. And so there they were presented in front of their noble grandparents for the first time. Yet neither sister was overjoyed to meet these relatives.

They had ignored them since birth, refused to acknowledge their existence. And for what reason? Because they hated their mother? Even when their parents were laid to rest, these nobles were not there. Not to give their thoughts and prayers to the deceased. Not to support the orphaned. Yet now there begging for their help.

There was a long pause. For all Saki knew, hours could have passed before anyone spoke. The air was tense.

Finally, Grandfather’s mouth opened.

“No.”

Paling wide-eyed confusion spread across Sakura’s face. She sat up now. “But why!? We’re your granddaughters; your kin. And I cannot take provide for her. You must help!”

“That is my final answer. You two share our name, but you are not of this family. I have no reason to take either of you in.”

“But-”

“Leave.”
