Thanos was really one of those dumb fucks who’s always like “nehhh overpopulation we need a new plague wehhh”

When in reality overpopulation isn’t even an issue. The problem is with distribution of resources.

Not only is killing half of the living creatures in the world literally stupid, it’s entirely counterproductive.

Note that it’s specified that he’s killed half of the living creatures, not just humanoids. So he’s killed half the animals that folks use for food. He’s killed half the natural predators and prey so ecosystems are absolutely fucked. He’s also killed half the workforce that provides food for people.

Single mother with 3 kids? Whoops, mother died. Congrats! The kids are left alone.

Half the people working in agriculture? gone. Factory workers? Gone. Service workers and people holding up the infrastructure of entire populations? Dead. Everyone is in the same fucked state they started in, and it’s possibly worse.

He could’ve been a bro and used his power to redistribute resources and fix broken systems. Or even CREATE more resources. But no, he had to kill everyone because of “overpopulation”

Thanos was a fucking dumbass.
