One of the reasons why I started learning French instead of German, are the smug out of place French quotes some autors like placing in their books, and editors (or whomever in charge of that thing) hate putting little translation footnotes in for. Now I am going to understand the joke dear author ,and you can go fuck yourself.

Also there was so much cross contamination berween English and French that, vocabulary builing have been super duper easy so far. thanks William the Conqueror, I guess.
