making y own pos bc i don't wanna bias it + transgender hcs are very much a 'make your own post' thing since they can be incredibly context sensitive to the person making them (so two people can heavily disagree with neitehr of them being wrong to do so). anyways seeing eito in the 'could transition save her' blog and feeling Hmm becuase like. i'm going to be honest i don't think so? like
okay part of the problem is. save eito from what. becuase imo half of eito's problems are that he's in a sci-fi story where humanity are representative of fascism. like you can't transition your way out of 'sirei needs to die and the exodus project needs to stop'. if anything i think transphobic sirei would be another reason TO have to deal with that
if we're talking about transitioning out of loneliness/misanthropy, then...well, agian. it's a question of what you view it as becuase like. idk about others but i see eito's isolation as in part. well. ableism. i feel like adding transphobia and misogyny there woudln't relaly help. like i guess what i'd say is 'our sense of self/the body we're in is warped, but also it's warped because of how the world outside handles it'. like if you were asking me how to fix eito then step one is "kill sirei", step two is "get proper accomodations"? and i guess that could include hrt...? but like. idk. most of the time, eito's demeanor doesn't scream dysphoria/discontentment in the body we're in, more in the world we're in. which. again. sirei. he's not wrong there
