I really want a fic post-STID where the whole attempt to attack Klingon space and the scandal of general Marcus wanting to start a war leaks, ending up rising intense protestation in and outside Earth. Then all kinds of information about allied planets not receiving humanitarian help, weapon arsenals that Starfleet has been hiding and discrimination against off-planet students makes all hell break lose, and because the Enterprise it's the golden team, they are forced to be Starfleet's face to the rest of the universe and everything is tense and Jim ends up making everything he can to keep his family - the family he had dreamed of since he was a kid but never thought he would actually have - together despite all the shit they are forced to deal with.
