he cries when he reads bad fanfiction, because nobody cares about love techno music absorbs his loneliness, but never for long enough his only joys are the A plusses that he happily brings home to cremate oh, he's the emo nerd, he's the emo nerd

once a year he sheds his black clothes and dons a bright costume and he goes to the comic con as zorbog the great star destroyer oh that it came more than once a year, he whispers in the darkness 'cause he's the emo nerd, he's the emo nerd

tattoos and braces and converse all-stars fill his closet which is lit by the light of a sputtering computer when the windows xp crashes, he mourns as though it has died 'cause he's the emo nerd, oh, he's the emo nerd

don't ask him about coding, 'cause he'll think you don't truly mean it and don't try to cheer him up, 'cause he'll point to a grainy quicktime file and ask, how can the world be happy when just anybody can post podcasts like this? he's the emo nerd, oh yeah, he's the emo nerd
