Well, I got far enough on my CAS cc experiments to determine that I’d need another graphics editor, or at least I think so. You can’t view or edit channels in Photoshop Elements, and it appears you need that to mess with masks.

OTOH, I did manage to do this age conversion. There’s something wrong with the mask, but otherwise it seems to work! Or at least sort-of. It looks like there’s some weird seam at the waist. Ah, well. Bit and pieces. I’m not sure why I got so obsessed with learning this anyway.

Well, yes I do. I want some very specific stuff, and I don’t have a cc creator at my beck and call! 🤪

So I might be able to do some very basic age conversions and other stuff that doesn’t require actually editing channels. I might be able to frankenmesh a little, since I think maybe if I copy-paste bits of one mask onto another mask, it might keep its channels.

Or I could learn gimp I suppose, though for some reason that leaves me unenthused.

Hiatus

I can’t figure out how to do “read more” on mobile so I will keep it short. I know I haven’t been very active for a while, for multiple reasons, but I felt like it was time to officially say that I’m going on hiatus. Tomorrow I am driving to my hometown for a while and I’m not bringing my personal computer with me so I won’t even have the option to play the sims for a while. I’m not sure how long I’m staying, but I’ve been apart from my family this whole year, and I need to spend some time with them. My Aunt passed away in June, my uncle is in the hospital refusing any additional care, and my Grandma passed away on Monday, and I just can’t take being away from my mom knowing how much she is hurting. I got a covid test and it came back negative so I’m going to go and stay there for some time. I hope that I’ll want to come back to the sims and my stories, but I haven’t had it in me recently, and I hope you can understand that.
