i hate shit that’s like : “what’s your advice for starting a webcomic/getting into animation/writing a script/whatever?” “don’t” like even if they continue and go like “it’s a lot harder than it looks and you have to really know what you’re going in for and you gotta be ready for the realities of xyz” and other good genuine pieces of advice that like reflect some of the more sour realities of creative endeavors i just... .mmmMMMMMMM did you really need to say it like that? did you really need to be /that/ crushing? that just... hand-wavey? like if you want to say “it’s probably a lot harder than you’re thinking so do your research and be ready” Say That. if you want to warn people about social pitfalls in the industry? Say That. there’s no good reason to just... bring the hammer down like that have some Fucking Compassion For The Things Other People Care About I don’t care how you meant it or how you think it should sound or if people are being too sensitive being hurt by those kind of statements, you just sound bitter and mean. harsh realities exist, I’m not asking people to be coddled, but like...bring some Fucking Empathy to your answers Fuck,

i dont think i can articulate this correctly atm but i find it... idk funny? maybe thats the word- how anime tutu is all wise and intelligent abt other peoples’ emotional problems like ‘it’s ok to feel bad just remember that there’s always hope’ etc. etc. whereas (my) story tutu’s general outlook is ‘i cant let people be sad or a giant murderbird is gonna come eat their souls’
