10 FACTS ABOUT ORABELLE

1. She was received during a design trade with Harmom and based on La Petite Fille de la Mer by Vangelis (the title means “the little girl of the sea” in French), which is very much still her theme song and the melody to the lullaby she sings to the creatures of the sea. 

2. Orabelle is blind, but not from birth. 

3. She comes from a frozen merpony kingdom. 

4. She fled in order to escape an arranged marriage.

5. Her specialty is to sing mesmerizing lullabies to marine creatures. It is said that her voice could calm down a tempest. 

6. Her beauty and voice have led her to undergo kidnapping attempts more than once, especially from pirates and sailors. Ironically, she ended up falling for a sailor, and God knows she shouldn’t have. 

7. She has been denying her feelings for the Prince since the two were kids.

8. She is currently lost and blind in the middle of the ocean after she escaped from her abusive mate who is the one who took her sight. Luckily for her, she will get rescued by a group of sweet merponies who will take her to Ur so she can stay under Princess Uhaina’s protection. 

9. She has a sister named Nausicaa who is currently looking for her all around the world, on land like in sea. Even though the two of them have a hard time getting along, Nausicaa will do anything to get her sister home safely, since he secretly dearly loves her no matter how much she shadowed her in the past. Orabelle doesn’t want to return though, as she is now a family disgrace. And there is no way she could face the Prince the way she is now, could she? 

10. Orabelle is a far away cousin of Opal Tides and her sister!

-Groundskeeper of the castle, often seen working in the gardens, lawns, and stables.

-Fire magic user. This also means she can sneeze fire.

-Goat monster. Not related to the Dreemurrs.

-Shy around new people, hasn’t really met a whole lot of people.

-Loves animals, especially small critters that she sees wandering through the gardens (bunnies, squirrels, etc.). Also likes horses, wolves, bears, and other large animals. Really there’s no limit. Except bugs. She doesn’t like bugs.

-Nervous around new people. Stays to her room if she’s not working.

-Leaves you little bouquets of flowers if she finds you interesting or she likes you.

Your artwork of Orabelle look extremely art design and it almost look like she is coming from video game. I wonder what is your.....uhh...how can I put this word? Inspire I think, about Orabelle. That how I start follow you because Orabelle look beautiful like angel's light.

I actually didn’t draw that pic, it was created by my dear friend @sirenibe , the full version can be found here. I didn’t create Orabelle either as she was designed for me by the wonderful @harmonscorner during a design trade (here is the original pic of her). As I mentioned earlier, the inspiration subject I gave Harmon to make her was this music. As for developing her, Orabelle is very much inspired by a sad, mystical vibe, and I just go with the flow as she is a very inspiring character to me.
