Summary:

It's basically a retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's "Snow Queen", with Kirk and Spock cast as Gerda and Kay. It's not totally faithful to the original tale, but I tried to imitate the writing a little. Some chapters are completely omitted, others are modified, but the basic storyline is the same, with some darkish twists and of course lots of Spirk love. In a slightly less utopian Federation, Jim Kirk is a bounty hunter, quite good at his job despite his ridiculously old ship and dedicated, but rather small crew. His current bounty, whom he captured and seriously wounded, doesn't really seem like a criminal. Moreover, he is really gorgeous... Jim faces a serious dilemma. It may turn out that a bounty hunter with too much of a conscience (and a too soft heart) will have to put up a really hard fight to atone for his crime, save his love and... learn to appreciate winter holidays again.
