My last semester of university, I did a Putri Naga or Dragon Princess of Komodo project for a character design class. Unfortunately, I wasn't crazy about the work I did for class so I never posted those anywhere, but I'm still attached to these characters and this story so I doodled this last night. My family and I went island-hopping in Komodo National Park back in 2017 and I was very taken with the Putri Naga story. I wish there was more information about it; I had to do a loooot of research for this project. So here's Orah and Si Gerong, pulling a lot of reference from cultures in the Komodo Islands, largely pre-colonial Torajan culture.
