soooo. I had an idea, kinda. instead of having you guys be a random voice in the cats' heads during asks...I figured that maybe I could let you guys pick any of these existing starclan cats to be the Official Answerer lmao. You guys can comment which cat is your pick, or put it in the ask inbox if you wanna be anonymous!

You guys already know Fawnspring, Oleander, Spiderstep, Dovepaw, and Brightpaw. Here's a list of every other cat, their traits, and a little tidbit about them:

-Spindlepaw (she/her)

Competitive, confident with words, quick to help

Spindlepaw died many, many moons ago, long before BranchClan's tragic dog attack. She died when camp flooded during a heavy rain, and she was unable to escape. She was only six moons old and had just been apprenticed when the flooding happened. She currently acts as the StarClan guide for BranchClan.

-Ashstar (he/him)

Insecure, good mediator, omen seeker

BranchClan's leader when the dog attack happened. Before the attack BranchClan had a hierarchy system where only the kits of the leader could be the next leader. Any deputies that weren't related to the leader would be placeholder for when/if the leader had kits or any other kin. Ashstar received his nine lives at a young age and was very unprepared for leadership. He was the reason Owlshade gave Violetsong's littermates to their father's clan, and lost all nine of his lives in the dog attack while Owlshade was away at the age of 13 moons.

-Orangeneedle (he/him)

Oblivious, good swimmer

Orangeneedle was BranchClan's deputy when the dog attack happened. He was described as a sweet cat, if not a little...Well, stupid. Orangeneedle genuinely loved each of his clanmates and it broke his heart that he would never get to lead them. Him and Owlshade were very close, and even had a mutual crush on one another. Orangeneedle was the cat Owlshade first announced his pregnancy to, and the tom agreed to act as the sire for the litter if Owlshade wasn't willing to disclose that the kits were half SpottedClan. Orangeneedle unfortunately died during the dog attack, as did everyone else, and spent the last of his energy and his last moments trying to protect any cats who couldn't protect themselves.

-Emberpelt (she/her)

Thoughtful, very clever, helpful insight

BranchClan's former medicine cat. Emberpelt was wise beyond her moons. Even as a kit cats would comment on her maturity, and her kind heart. Emberpelt knew she wanted to help other cats since kithood, and happily accepted the role of medicine cat. Her naming ceremony was delayed due to means that weren't necessarily her fault, and she ended up graduating at 20 moons. Emberpelt died at the age of 59 moons in the dog attack. She climbed a tree to escape the dogs, but panicked and ended up slipping. She broke her legs in the fall, which led the dogs straight to her.

-Thrushpaw (he/him)

Righteous, interested in clan history

Owlshade's first and former apprentice. He's the younger brother of Orangeneedle, and was basically raised by the tom after their parents died. Bummer. Anyway, Thrushpaw was shaping up to be a pretty good cat! He listened to Owlshade, even when he gave him orders that sounded a bit...Dumb...And had a great amount of respect for his elders. He was usually a bit too curious for his own good and desperately wanted to find out more about BranchClan's past. Thrushpaw was 9 moons old when he died after succumbing to his wounds, nestled beneath Orangeneedle's body.

Soooo...Yeah! Time to pick the official Answerer for BranchClan. <3
