i know i know i'm meant to be writing part 11 for werewolf au but considering 10 parts is a mile stone imma take a break plus this came to me in a dream and can't say no to fate
also if you read my other stuff you know i like to make simon a bit more tender and thats because he usually see's reader as his daughter and i imagine he'd be overly paranoid of being like his father thus very cautious parenting
your sick, you have been for a while your not quite sure what with logically you know the doctors have tried to explain it to you but what is the point? you know what happens next and you feel terrible i mean all this medical equitment can't be cheap right? so with a final decision you lean over the side of the bed reaching for the plug i sucsessfully pull it out and soon after everything goes dark
you wake up feeling warm opening your eyes you have to lift your arm over your eyes to block the sun and see a white puffy sleeve, i sit up looking down at myself not only am i outside im wearing a medivil style dress off white with a green bodice, this is strange, is this heaven?, you stand up brushing your skirt off you walk in a random direction trying your hardest to stay straight you eventually reach a road a dirt one no pavement you walk down one of the paths for a very long time you become tired watching the sun rise and begin to lower, you have no shoes so your feet begin to blister and you can feel your skin reddening even if just slightly
as the sun lowers you eventually spot lights expecting to see a city you hurry up but once you get closer you duck behind a tree the lights are moving and too loud, their torches, you wait for one to wave enough for you to get a view of who's holding them you see large silouhettes but nothing defining until, green skin, no way, you've been isekai'd no fucking way you crouch down and back up, you are in no way ready to deal with orcs that is until two strong hands grab your wrists and lift you up pulling you towards the orcs they all cheer as they see you they are not beating the barbarian allegations, you've seen alot of fiction with orcs you need to see which ones they are, your dragged infront of what you can only guess is the chief orc
he's big, blonde with dark eyes his face obscured by a skull mask, simon riley, it's ok it's not like he's the most terrifing mother fucker you've ever seen they drag you closer and he grips his axe getting ready to swing if you want to save your neck now is the time
"don't kill me im a prophet!" they pause for a moment then laugh at you and he picks his axe back up you need to say some shit now! "your real name is simon riley not ghost! last week your camp was attacked by a human raiding party!"
that seems to work he tilts his head "why are you here then" you take a moment to recall the plot to find something to prove your worth
"in one month a bigger raider party will attack your town they plan to destroy your home and make the orcs scatter to make you easier to pick off one by one, if this happens the human army will use your land to take the entire east side of the continent" ghost tilts his head and waves his hand making the orc holding me let go, holy hell this worked you can't believe this worked why don't all the protagonists in isekai anime's do this?!
you silent rejoice is short lived as thick hands lift you up onto the back of a big horse Ghost climbing on behind you the entire orc group set off most likely on their way home ghost rides ahead getting you both out of ear range of the other orcs he speaks up "tell me little seer why warn us" right you can't say for the plot and you can't say you wanted to save them they wouldn't trust it unless it has some meaning from the gods
"i am a devotee of Astra i cannot in my right mind allow so many to die" as easy as the lies come you hope you named the right god
"Astra? if i remember right she's the human goddess of love, compassion and charity right?"
"correct, it would not be very compassionate of me to allow your people to die when i have the ability to stop it"
the hands holding you steady on the horse tighten around your waist "you are naive little seer" you don't argue with him letting him ride back to his camp when we get back he jumps off the horse helping you down he drags you over to a hut a bit further from the other houses inside is an older orc women wearing a black veil she turns and watches as simon leads you in "hail shamen, we have found a little seer, she saw the future and came to warn us" if theirs anything you've learnt today it's orcs are handsy as the women grabs the back of your neck and pulls you to her looking you over and inspecting the flesh
she pulls you up onto the counter and begins inspecting your feet which have long been bloody and sore she drags a bucket of water over to clean them "cheif, she has come along way to find us" as the women tends to your feet ghost finally takes a good look at you, your small way smaller then any orc, your sun burnt, your feet look as if they'll need to wrapped for days and you have no supplies or weapons its pitiful but speaks to my determination
"little runt, you look awful, we'll need to bathe you and feed you" he makes a mental list on how much maintinence i'd need, the orc women once my feet is clean she applies a soothing salve to my feet and bandages them, but she doesn't seem done there she pulls your dress collar open and dips a needle in ink bringing it up to your neck you jerk but she grips your head with one hand as she begins tattooing an eye onto your collar bone "be still your a seer now she's just making sure everyone knows" it hurts but you grip the blanket you know this is how orc's work they tattoo their careers onto themselves it's a simple eye design so it doesn't take long before she lets you go and ghost drags you along to what you can only assume is his room theres skulls littered about and he pushes you onto the bed and leaves, eventually you fall asleep waiting for him
the door opening wakes you it's morning and ghost has returned in his hand he has a bread bun stuffed with meat and sauce you take if from him as your stomach growls it's been so long since you've had anything but hospital food, he leans against the doorway watching you eat,
"you'll be staying here for a month see if your little prophecy comes true if not we kill you but if your right your free to leave" he holds a hand out as you finish eating to pull you up and along with him "until then we'll find a way for you to earn your keep" the day is a long one trying to find something your good at, it's a short list and you settle on spear fishing as you've menaged to catch two fish
the month continue on this way fishing with ghost watching closely until the night you said the raid would come everyone is armed and ready waiting, you watch anxiously until the humans arrive it's an all out battle but now you can see the orc's are winning and ghost looks brutal ripping thru the humans it is clear the orcs will win so you decide to take your leave there are others in need of help you need to make this world paradise so you take your leave walking into the woods missing the way ghost looks around the crowd of celebrating orcs for you, you miss the way his eyes darken as your no where to be found to busy studying the signs on the road eventually finding the right one as a wagon pulls over offering you a ride if your calculation is correct in a few hours a disguised prince Kyle will use this wagon to get a ride out of town and socialise at a tavern where he will be robbed and stabbed winning the princes favour can assist you on your journey and what better way then saving him from a mugging
