A reference sheet for Alpine, the Akhlut. If you don't know what a Akhlut is, they are a wolf-orca hybrid classified under cryptids, just like the Loch Ness monster, or Big Foot. They're first described by the Inuit people of northern Canada. It's said that if you find wolf prints in the snow leading to the ocean, it was a voracious Akhlut who came on land to feed.
Now this boy holds a special place in my heart. He's one of my longer standing OCS and he seriously does not get enough love like he should. This fella is a crazy lovable boi and though he's a beast in size, he's as friendly as your neighborhood golden retriever, and dare I say just as squooshy and soft. He loves people and, basically anything that moves. Pet him for 2 seconds, and you've made a happy friend for life. However, he can often be too friendly, and needs to be protected from his own lovable nature. After all, when you're a large cryptid, approaching a random hunter roaming through the woods to seek out a snuggle or two is probably not the best idea. Loud noises and storms however, startle the poor guy to death so, never ever bring this guy to a firework show, or shoot off a gun around him, he'll cower and whimper, or dig a hole to crawl into and curl up in. He's been a comfort character for me for....gosh, about 7 years? Like I mentioned, he's a oldie, but a major goodie. He's actually Xydon's best friend. If you don't know Xydon, she's my most rancorous OC I got. A mutant cockatrice with a nasty attitude and a seething hatred for humanity. Alpine is the only reason why she hasn't gone on the rampage killing everyone yet. He's just that persuasive with how lovable he is. He even softens stone cold beasts like Xydon. It all balances out. While he keeps her hatred at bay, she protects him from ill willed people. I'll probably do a ref for Xydon soon.
