Look Down.

The sound of an explosion echoed throughout the night of the Cathedral City, and with it came the sound of cheering.

-

Men and women, young and old, poorer than even thought possible, rallied at the destroyed gate, and the one who broke it.

-

Dressed in midnight black, the raven-haired Renotni, Orez, looked forward, her eyes sorrowful.

-

"Everyone," she called out gently, silencing the crowd. "Allow me to end the tyranny of my sisters."

-

A cry resounding answered her, and Orez quickly made her way through the city.

-

The day of revolution. The night that the tyrants will fall.

-

"Let's go, everyone!" came a young boy's voice, and a flurry of children raced through the back alleys of the city.

-

The guards quickly stood in front of her, probably from her dear sisters informing them via a certain someone's telekinesis, but were then put up in flames; quite literally, too.

-

The white dragon, Michelangelo, flew down and crushed the guards, and then breathed fire on the rest, incinerating them. He looked towards his master, blue eyes glowing menacingly.

-

"I trust I am not too late?" shaking her head, the green-eyed woman sighed.

-

"Unfortunately not; the poor seem to have finally lost their patience."

-

"That surprises me not. I suggest, then, you get a move on. The wind is starting to pick up."

-

Michelangelo was correct: the wind was picking up, not to mention the fearsome rain and lightning flashing about; a gift from Ruof, Orez supposed.

She quickly took off, Michelangelo flying into the sky to defend the peasants.

-

Along the way, she spotted a strange sight: the guardsmen fighting children.

-

"C'mon, lads!" the oldest lad called out. "We can overpower 'em!"

-

Thinking fast on her feet, Orez launched herself forwards and, quicker than the guards slicing the children, sliced them all clean in half. An unfortunate end, but a necessary one.

-

Turning back, she nodded to the awestruck boy. "Are you okay?"

-

The boy nodded, and then his eyes lighted up. "You're The Angel...! You're going after your sisters, right?"

-

"Yes, I am; they're mine to fight. Look after your fellow man, Mister...?"

-

The boy grinned, pointing to himself. "Call me Douglas!" he then turned around, and cupped his hand around his mouth. "ALRIGHT, YOU HEARD HER! FALL BACK AND HELP THE WOUNDED!"

-

The others let out a cry, and they made their way backwards. Douglas gave one last nod, smiling. "Good luck!"

Nodding back, Orez carried on towards her destination: The Grand Cathedral.

At the entrance to the Grand Cathedral, thunder roared once more, and the lightning flashed so brightly Orez had to shield her eyes. Upon removing them, did she see them:

The Renotnis: Goddesses of Song.

"Sister... it is a pleasure to meet you here again." Eno, the black-haired second-eldest Renotni, gazed down, emerald green eyes displaying only a hint of emotion in them, her five senses decreasing with every minute that passed in this wretched world.

"Eno, please: we don't need to fight!"

-

"...I fear it is far too late for that, Orez." Owt, the crest-fallen orange-haired sister, looked down with a pitying look, her hands behind her back as her strength was sapped every second. "You have made your choice. As have we."

-

"...She is correct." shortly replied the ever-short-green-haired Eerht. Oddly, she didn't say much, what with her being the most hyper of the sisters.

-

"Oh, you don't want to fight, Orez?!" Ruof, ever the combatant, challenged back, her red eyes alight in rage, small nails hidden within gauntlets. "You should've thought twice before coming here, then!"

-

"Have peace, Ruof," Evif, bless her heart, looked down at her oldest sister in sadness, her... ah, chest, always shrinking. "I wished that we didn't need to fight. Violence will only beget more violence, I fear..."

-

"Look around you, Eno!" Orez was already sick of her sister's unexpressive gaze. "This is tyranny, don't you realise that?!"

-

"...'Tyranny'? You wound me with your harsh words, Orez. Tell me, then: why do you stand before us as an enemy, rather than at our side as an ally, like before?"

-

"...That was when we killed the former rulers, when we tried to change the world. I know now that we did that far too fast." the Prime Renotni glanced up, green eyes still alight. "And now, we have new rulers, who are no better-nay, worse-than the last."

"...Tch." looking down, Eno pointed at her older sister. "It's high time we settled this, Sister."

As the other Renotnis jumped down, Orez unsheathed her sword. "Oh, more than high time, I'd say..."

Canon Mounts

After seeing this post, I realized I never shared my canon Mounts here. So time to change that!

Brioche and Shrimp

Kying and Valefor got these Skyscales as a Gift from the Wizards. Its for the help at the Rifts.

Brioche is a female Skyscale. Shrimp on the other hand don't seem to have gender. Still they refer to him as "He".

They both go crazy over Kyings Breads. While Brioche loves pets - Shrimp is a little tentative. He only likes to get touched by people he knows. Brioche will throw herself at everyone that is willing to pet her. She occasionally buries Kying below her as a sign of her love (sometimes Val also faces this fate) Brioche can be very stubborn and lazy from time to time, she loves to bath in the sun and rather walk than fly. Shrimp on the other hand LOVES to fly - high and fast. Luckily it suits their handlers.

Bean, Teddy and Astra

Bean , belongs to Wilson, he is a male Raptor she raised. It was a gift from ther adoptive Father. Teddy, was a gift from Desmond - Vales best Friend and Mentor. He is a male Tiger with Sandportal abilities and belongs to Fuma. Astra, was more or less a Gift from Wilson to Mishra. Astra is a female Skyscale and belongs to Mishra.

Bean , is as lively as Wilson. He loves to be in the center of the attention. He loves to eat and pets 24/7. As much outgoing he is, he gets spooked very easily. He despises the Brand and retreats at sudden loud noises. He dislikes Ruby (Fumas Devourer), out of pure jealousy. But if you have both in an unattended moment, he actually loves to cuddle with Ruby.

Teddy, is very quite and reserved. He loves to observe his surrounding and is very patient with everyone. He only gets violent to protect his family. Otherwise he would never hurt a fly - even if that fly (Bean....) is chewing his tail. He goes crazy over spices - and loves to smell interesting smells in general. He is deeply afraid of heights - its a bad mix with his sandportal ability ....

Astra, was raised by Wilson with a bunch of other Skyscales. For a long time it wasn't sure if she will make it. She was very small and frail - and the worst she lost her hearing. She sat for a long time in the background, no one wanted to take her. People were tentative to use her in the fight against Kralk. She later finds her home with Mishra - she is his eyes and he is her ears.

Wilson, Fuma and Mishra actually share these three mounts ingame - so they also share these during their journey.

Skye, Vine and Blaze

These the Skimmer belong to the kids and were gifts from Vale's Village. They decided to give them names suiting the elements.

Skye = Sky / Wind Vine = Plants / Earth Blaze = Fire

Skye, is a Male Skimmer that belongs to Orez Vine, is a Female Skimmer that belongs to Elden Blaze, is a female Skimmer that belongs to Junior

The Skimmer are similiar to the kids from her personality. But Blaze and Vine seemed to have switched. Only Orez got a energetic Skimmer as he is. The kids love their floaty friends a lot and share everything with them

Hope

This Modrem was created of a Wolf, that was once Deamourns Ranger pet. He lost his companion during HoT, when the Jungle Dragon awakened. It got killed by other Modrem, while protecting him and Deus (After the Airship crash) He later faces his Wolf-Companion as a Modrem-Wolf. There was no chance that a corpse would remember him, yet the Mordem refused to attack him. After Mordremoth was slain, Deamourn seeks out this Mordrem Wolf and successfully tames it. He gives it the name "Hope" (Hope is also the start of Deamourn collection the weirdest Pets / Creatures possible)(Bearbeitet)

Geist

This female Shrine Guardian belongs to Ronin and is called Geist.

She came into his life, after Ronin realized he will never see his female Human Friend again. He sees Geist as a gift from his former friend - a farewell gift and that he should move on. So he gave her the same Name as his former Friend had "Geist".

But,... this Shrine Guardian IS his former Human Friend. She ventured the World as a Human to learn more about the world. Then she happens to meet Ronin and something on him struck her. Made her curious and made her stay by his side.

She was not able to return the love he felt for her - but she later decides, after he trurly managed to love himself, to join him in his journey.

Sidenote: Geist is able to transform into the other Mounts, to match all the needs during Ronins travels (I use the Cantha skin for them)

ALRIGHT! Time to introduce you to some faces!

Desmond Schneeglut (Snowembers) - Best friend to Vale, but also Mentor. Weird eremit and protector of the wilds. No one knows how old he is - not even Vale. He is odd. He rarly speaks, so people thinks he can't speak. With a very few exceptions, he prefers creatures over his kind. (and humans,... and asura,... and everyone else) He was also once a Member of the Flame Legion. He is also a good Friend to Baal.

Orez - Son of Vale and Deus - younger Brother of Fume. He currently is in Desmond's Care - far away from all the war and dragon business. And he is a handful to handle. A bundle of energy. Always on the search of adventure - even in the mist. Good thing only Desmond knows about that. Vale would freak out.

Baal Aschblut (Ashblood) - Former Flame Legion General and half brother to Deus. They share the same Father, who is also part of the Flame-Legion. Baal killed him after he murdered his Mate (and with her nearly his fresh born daughter, too) On the run from the fury of the other Flame Legion, he collapsed somewhere in the wild. A Norn took him in. And to that Norn, he leaves his Daughter - after he heard his father wasn't dead - yet. His daugther is Wilson.

Phrike Duskshard or also know as "the Undying" - "You tried to kill me once, Tried to kill me twice. Even a third time. But here I'm still standing. The undying. And now,... Now I'm coming for you." He is a lunatic. He hates the Charr Legions, but still he holds his Kind dear. He sees himself as the savior of the charr. And with that mindset, he managed to gather a huge crowd of loyal followers around him. All willing to die for his cause.

Now I've read the whole future found family part you've gone and got me wondering...does anyone start smooching anyone else? Be it poly, one night stands, moments of passion or silly little crushes or interests

Oooh that's an interesting question!

Let me think about it. Well Vale & Deus and Valefor & Kying are married and most likely out of such things.

Best candidate for Poly would be Wilson and Fuma actually. Initaly I had planned to add someone to these two, but that Idea or the character got scrapped. Could change in the future!

Another candidate could be Bahalt. She is open for everything. She most likely will smooch everyone at least once. And I have the feeling she would have a little crush on Desmond. Maybe they have a little on off thing going on - just for fun. Desmond is also someone constantly flirting with everyone - again just for fun. Hmm,... it could be possible two old man get funky and invite him for a night. :Dc

Desmond you little whore,... but Bahalt, too. The oldest of the group... I see a pattern,...

And then there is Baal,... he is sadly to serious for such things. That man stays single the rest of his life. It's a miracle he has a child. Don't know how that happened - accident for sure. Maybe he was dunk or on drugs.

But another note - Orez will have a time where he is very obsessed of Valefor and Kying. So these two have to look after that tiny ball of energy for a while. Because he just won't leave them alone,...

Oh and while I write this - I think Fuma has a crush on Rox. While Wilson only has eyes for Rox devourer Frostbite,...

Wait,... Fuma also has a Devourer as companion. Ruby,... a female Devourer,... Frostbite and Ruby - true romance blossoming! Ahahaha

With SOTO out, I startet to think about my OCs. They currently still in the events of fighting Kralkatorik - well, before the real fight. I have them on hold there initial because of Wilson's Story. Now because of Valefors and Kyings Story, too.

Still I want to write down what happens to them from now - till the Events right before SOTO starts.

This is more a mental note for me and might get a little change in the future, but that could happen: (Behold of lore drop and possibile spoiler of my OCs, but I think it's fine cuz I'm never able to tell it all.)

Wilson: Not a lot will happen. She will help raising the Skyscales in the Events around fighting Kralkatorik. But she won't participate in the fight itself. During this she will also take care of the wounded, with the help of Fuma.

In the Events around the Civil War she will finally meet her real Father. But it's during the events of Jorgmas and Primodus influence on Tyria (Dragon Response Mission) she gets a little closer to him. He will help her control her magic. Together with Fuma and him, they will help in Tyria, where help is needed.

After Jormag and Primodus is defeated, she will travel the world together with Fuma.

In the Events around Cantha she will travel to Cantha and stay there until the fight in the jade sea occurs. Like before, she will mainly take care of the wounded and keep out most of the fight. But during the brief moment, when the void is about to take over everything, she will rescue a huge bunch of their companions with her magic. After that she is left without magic. She can’t even cast a single flame. Maybe this changes with the start of SOTO. Until then she will continue explore Tyria with Fuma at her side.

Fuma: She will be at Wilsons side and share most of the events like her. The only main thing that happens to her - she will go the path as Druid. Developing her healing magic to help the people around her.

Baal: As a former Flame Legion Member and after killing many of them, he will join Efram efforts to rebuild the Legion.

But first he will help his half-brother Deus in the fight against Kralkatorik. There he catches a first glimpse at his long, lost daughter. But it will be until the invitation to Grothmar-Valley, when he seeks direct contact with her. He will train her and tries to form a connection. Due to his cold demeanor it’s not easy at first, but with the help of Wilson’s bright nature they slowly connect. He will also accompany Wilson and Fuma during some of the Dragon Response Mission.

And Baal will always be at Deus side to fight the danger, that lay before them.

After the Events in Cantha he will return to Eframs side and help him with the new path of the Flame Legion.

Vale and Deus: They follow the Story as it is in the Game. But it’s only Vale, who will later end in Skywatch Archipelago. Only because she is the best in infiltrating the camp and get the information about the strange visitors. Deus could only watch as his wife went lost in the portal. He will of course try to join her.

Desmond: Sometimes he's at this place, sometimes he's at that place,... his main task is to take care of Orez during all the events. But it’s not easy with this ball of energy constantly disappearing into the mists…

He is basically just there and keeps an eye on Orez.

Orez: In the Events of Kralkatorik he is only 6 - so his main task is to make Desmonds natural hair color of white, even more whiter. He might get a glimpse of the Astral Ward, way before the Events of SOTO starts. He will meet a traveler in the Mist that belongs to the Ward. But due to his young age he won’t remember much and mainly stay at Desmond side. Even with the age of 10, when the Events around SOTO start, he will keep out of these things.

--- Now we get into the mild to heavy spoiler territory, but I'm not sure if I'm able to tell it all.

Phrike: He will play a huge role during the civil war. Additional to Bangar and the Elder Dragons, he will be another hug problem to take care of. A very nasty problem that last till the defeat of the elder dragons. He will nearly kill Deus and Vale. Also some of the other like Fuma, Wilson and Baal will have a close call. But in the end he will nearly kill himself in the attempt to blow up the whole black citadel,... In his mind: If he can’t have it - no one should. But he is not able to carry this bomb to the citadel, so he detonates the bomb in his hideout. Killing most of his own allies,... and nearly himself, too. He would have survived somehow - but his mind suddenly clear for the first time in years, he decides the world would be better without him. He wouldn't stop. He can’t stop. So he ask his closest friend to end his life. With one last gift in hand.

Bahalt: She will be at Phrikes side until his death. She will be the one, to grant Phrike his last wish in killing him. After that she will search for the thing Phrike has promised her - the gift. And what could it be? His son. She should take care of his son. Phrike always knew she wanted to be a mother, but was never not able to bear children on her own.

She will take care of this young boy. Sometimes call Phrike out of the mist to share these moments. She will later join Vale and Deus in their efforts to protect Tyria.

Valefor / Kying / Israfil: He will serve Israfil till the start of events of Cantha. It will be a balancing act between his new life with Kying and the old shadows that won’t leave him. The grip of Israfil will tighten over the years. Nearly tearing Valefors new found love apart. At the same time Valefor will find new allies - new people to trust, who later play a huge role in finally freeing him from Israfils grasps.

And Kying will be the one, striking Israfil down. At least he will disappear - unknown if Israfil is really dead or not. At least Valefor is finally free, he can feel it,... but I have the feeling it’s not the last time we hear from this fucker. Let’s see what SOTO has in store.

With Israfil gone, Valefor and Kying will join Deus and Vale, helping them protecting Tyria in the last fight against the Void. After that he stays a valuable asset to the Dragon Watch, but only if he is called. He will go back to old roots and travel Tyria together with Kying. Until he finds a nice place to live and settle in. There he will marry his emotional Idiot, who tamed him back to his softer side. At least around his friends. With stranger he still act like he will tear them apart - just for fun. And I think he will join Vale in the Events SOTO. I have the feeling he would enjoy punching some demons.

And with the fancy new communicatory they all stay in contact. Vale, Deus, Fuma, Wilson, Desmond, Orez, Bahalt, Valefor and Kying will form a huge weird family. And I'm here for it. Maybe I give them a Warband name and each of them their fitting Warband title.

Even Baal is part of it, but he will stay more of a rare sight.

And guess what? Valefor would have the most fun with the communicatory. I'd love to imagine them having a huge group chat. Wilson and Valefor would be the most active there. Wilson sharing nice moments and Valefor bullying the whole group. Well it's his way of showing affection. But aside from all the bullying, he would be always there for a good advice or a helping hand.
