In wake of what happened in Bristol last night, I want to remind everyone that today is the 30th anniversary of the abolition of Thatcher’s Poll Tax.

Direct action works. Violent protests work.

The Poll Tax did not get abolished by peaceful protests. People took to the streets. People were taken to court for not paying. Do whatever you can to right the wrongs.

Yesterday I was arrested for ‘breach of the peace’ at 21:40 and got to the station at 22:30. I’ve been released at 08:33.

Whilst I was in the station, I wasn’t given any water nor given a substantial meal (I was given biscuits after taking pain killers) I asked for water a total of 5 times whilst I was held. I rang on the intercom system over 10 times with only two of those calls being answered
