Between how well it got on with Astro, finally being able to have a trio with Orange and Passionfruit and its modern-day counterpart with Violet and also smiling when meeting Lunala and Moltres as well as Orange (and just generally me wanting it to meet Lugia, Lunala and Latias because of their Psychic-types plus Spectrier because I love it (speaking of while making this post I’ve come up with a new name scheme for Glastrier and Spectrier which is one I seem to be overusing with these Legendaries but it’s nicer than calling them Frost and Shadow)) I think Cherry just really gets on well with Legendaries and Pokémon of similar statuses (feel like I should also count how much I’m sure it would love to meet Blueberry but I still don’t have HOME so idk if that’ll ever happen)

Bonus headcanon: sometimes it just calls Violet “V”. Violet doesn’t appreciate Cherry’s affectionate nickname for it

Even Astro’s getting some Tera Raid action. I swear this is the first time I’ve Terastalised it and there’s probably a pretty good reason for that (its only Tera STAB move lowers its Special Attack and I may change it to Spacial Rend at some point but I think I’ll wait to see if Game Freak ever reruns the Dialga and Palkia event allowing me to get an Origin Form Dialga called Chronos in Scarlet to match Astro before I do that)

That said the main reason’s probably just I caught it half a month before I largely retired it due to getting Scarlet and wanting my teams to mirror each other (why do you think my aces consist of my starter (Quax and Spriggie), a Charcadet evo named Char, the Paradox leader (Luna and Knight) and the event-exclusive functionally mythical Paradox Pokémon (Blueberry and Cherry)). Also there’s not much you can do with a Dragon Tera type because it’s only super effective against itself (somehow even less useful than a Normal Tera type. Okay maybe not but at least Normal isn’t weak to itself)

I love a good fusion gimmick (if only they actually let the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords fuse into those book fusions)

You get Origin Form Dialga and Origin Form Palkia because that’s the only way to make them interesting to me

I was kinda hoping to have Dialga and Palkia be a bit more obvious here but I wasn’t sure I’d be able to finish this in time if I did that so in the end after a few ideas (don’t include them at all, only draw their legs) I decided to show their belt things and some energy because why not (they’re not on fire I swear). Lucario… there’s something wrong with Lucario, I just can’t tell what (probably that it doesn’t look stoic and its ears are too short)
