Im not a good reader, and Im also having a hard time understanding different words and events in a book, but Origin of Dan Brown, though it's difficult for me to comprehend certain parts of the book, made me proud that I finished it. There were lots of gasps and shookt moments for me while reading this book. It is a masterpiece that also challenged my faith at first, i wont deny that, because of the possible truth on kirsh's discovery but at the end, it all depends on a person, for me, it is love and compassion, whether its your love for God or for humanity, that will remain in the end, humans can be cruel at times but theres always light like how the universe creates chaos in order to spread energy or light to its darkened corners. We all thirst for answers but lets not forget to have a kind heart while looking for those answers. I hope one day, we will have definite answers that could unite everyone of us.
Origin Review
Synopsis: Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure. All Katy can do is survive. Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen? Together, they can face anything. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
Characters:
Katy Swarts: Regular (and awsome because she has a blog about books & is a bookaholic) until she meets Daemon- now boyfriend- and Dee. Now that she had changed in a supernatural way, Daedalus has her captive. She fights, she suffers to finnaly be with Daemon. She is a surviver.
Daemon Black: He wants- needs- Katy back, so he risks everything for her. Daemon is strong, tempered, desperate and angry. He is ready for everything.
Archer: frenemy? the only thing ovious is that he is powerful and knows a lot...
My opinion of the book:
For starters, let me get this clear: THIS IS THE BEST BOOK OF THE LUX SAGA. It is awsome. Even in the parts that you think it will be borring (like Katy being trapped in Daedalus alone. just thinking. It was acturally really good. maybe not because she wasnt with daemon...).
Half of the book s about Katyin Daedalus & Daemon saving her and the other half is about truble. fight. love. unloyalty.
Everything will change and Luxen will have other kind of problems...
Things i loved:
Daemon’s PoV.
How Daemon’s and Katy’s relationship deepens.
Luc & Archer.
Archer and Dee.
The fight.
New concepts & ideas (like “Origins”) that the writer presents. Seriously, isnt Jennifer awsome?
Las Vegas...
The ending. (another Cliffhanger!)
Read this book and be prepared for greatness.
