hi! i'd like to partecipate but i'm confused about what exactly is considered classicism here, do you mean greco-roman aesthetic or else?
I'm calling it's Classics (at the moment) but I'm honestly being super vague on the definition. I just mean old! Anything you'd consider Classics or think of when looking at "masters".
The rough guide is anything from J.C. Leyendecker (up to 1950 at latest) or earlier. It doesn't have to be typical classicism or European
Q: Are previously used works/ideas allowed?
A: I am asking that the pieces made for this project are new and made specifically for this book - however they may be ideas you have used previously but re-drawn if there's an update significant enough to warrant it.
Q: Would the zine also include information about the OC featured?
A: It's not definite yet, but I would like to include short bios about your characters with the credits. Given the nature of the zine and my own love of yapping it's definitely something I'm considering (graphics mod willing)
Q: When will the project be running?
A: Applications will be open from January 7th - 20th, though I am potentially going to set an application cap. Results will be sent the end of January.Contributors will have Febuary - end of May (4 months) to work on pieces
Q: How long would WIPs and final pieces be kept secret for? What are the terms for those with Ko-Fi/Patreon?
A: WIPs to a certain point (cropped etc) can likely be shown through Patreon/Ko-fi. There will be points in the run up to the kickstarter,where contributors will get the go ahead to show off parts of their work. However I can't say for certain right now the exacts, there will be some level of secrecy until the campaign
Q: Will contributors get their own copy?
A: With the current plan and assuming successful crowdfunding, (at base goal) contributors will receive their own copies as part of payment. With further compensation depending on how well the project does
Q: What types of OCs?
A: Almost any! This could be TTRPG OC's, original project (comics, books, etc) , Tavs, WOLs, any dragon age oc etc. All I ask is if they are fan OC's that they are decently distinct from the franchise they're part of/inspired by.
