Ow! I swear, this lighter is trying to light 𝘮𝘦!
Huh, I guess it doesn't have a choice—the wick is stubby. Now, if it only lets me get it up... I said, if it only lets me get it up— come on!
Ugh, now the wax is under my nails, and it's still not lighting! Is it too burnt? Can a wick be too burnt? Is this even the wick—
It's metal. No, it's burnt... No, it's metal? Has it always been metal?
The wax isn't cooperating! Stay together, no— stay! It'll light. It'll light, it'll light, it'll light...
It flickered.
(Barely.)
Day 20 —If you could go on only one more vacation in your lifetime, where would you go and why?
"I hate you so much right now."
"What? Why? This is totally not even my fault right now."
"We could have gone anywhere in the world, but noooooo. We had to come here."
"Oh. Yeah, I guess that part's my fault. But we could have gotten kidnapped anywhere!"
"But if we'd gotten kidnapped in France, it wouldn't be a million degrees! And there would be cell phone service!"
"And that giant bug probably wouldn't be crawling up your leg, either."
"Aaaaugh! What the fuck is that even?"
"Looks like some sort of beetle? Probably not poisonous."
"Probably?"
"Well it's not like I have my book with me, since somebody thought we didn't need it."
"We were going to get dinner! We shouldn't have needed it! And even if you did have it, you couldn't get to it now because your hands are tied!"
---
I don't know who these people are, or why they're kidnapped. but.
Day 7 —What sets you apart from the crowd?
It's the neck, mostly.
I mean, six feet of neck is a pretty noticeable feature. Not many with those around.
I guess you could look at some of my other features. The purple tongue is pretty cool; not many of those around either. And my horns-- they're really called ossicones, but I'll let you call them horns-- are pretty unique. All fuzzy and cartilage...y.
The spots are cool, but. Spots are everywhere. Hardly something to get excited about. The same can be said for my mane. Nothing especially worth noting. Other than its dedication to covering the whole length of my beautiful neck.
Yeah, it's the neck that sets me apart.

this is stupid and I'm not proud of it. but it is 100 words.
My sister told me I should write about giraffes, so. Sorry this didn't turn out better, sibling!
