New costume: Lily of Death! Based on beautiful art by @mattinata_wai & photo by @robsomersphoto, this is one I wanted to make as soon as I saw it. I love original designs, the ruffle sleeves & skull butterflies all over it pulled me in! The main body of the dress is midnight purple shift taffeta, the underskirt is silk shiffon in smokey blue. I added gold stars & crystals to the underskirt, which you can't see yet in this pic. The bodice laces up the back, upper arm cuffs are stiffened midnight purple taffeta lined in blood red dupioni silk, tipped in gold. Gold feathers underneath, gold crystals & crosses down the arms. The veil is a layer of beaded & sequined lace & a layer of spider net mesh, both trimmed in gorgeous trims kindly contributed by @expotrims, they have gorgeous trimming!The crown is black worbla, feathers & gold crosses w a skull, black roses pinned in my hair. All of the jewelry was made by me save for the red ring. The stockings are a mix of tights I purchased & stitched into flesh colored mesh tights I made & airbrushed the pattern at the thigh. The wig is 2 silver white wigs, I dyed one blue silver & turned it into wefts to sew in (I’ll have a vid of that soon, I think). I also want to give a special shout out to @cosbondcosplay , they kindly sent me some of their products to try & it came in really handy during this shoot, as my skull on my thigh decided to nose-dive off (I screwed up the glue). I used some CosBond really quick & BACK IN BUSINESS! They're non-profit, assembled & packaged by visually impared workers,, & all profits go to opportunities for legally blind in the St. Louis area!
