The small plane was compact, but still somehow cozy. After he made one very long distance phone call to let Orisa know he was leaving then, Zenyatta boarded the small craft with just a couple others, not counting the pilot. There weren’t very many planes flying straight down from where he was in Spain to Numbani, and in his experience big airports in certain parts of the world weren’t very friendly towards him, but he was thankful all the same to find a pilot who was willing to fly him down.
It wasn’t until he had to make long trips like this that Zenyatta realized how much traveling was difficult when you didn’t have any money. It was almost funny to him. The way he helps people, they often offer him things and favors to help him along his journey, he’s never had to really worry about the cost of any of it. And of course, being a part of overwatch meant they had at least a couple vehicles to travel with. Walking in the world, just experiencing what it had to offer, that was always what he enjoyed out of his travels. High above the clouds as he was at that moment, it just wasn’t the same. But, he had to admit, it was a lot faster.
“We’ll be landing in the airport in just a few moments, everyone hang on and don’t move around too much,” the pilots voice came through a speaker above them, “I appreciate you all letting me fly you down here for my first solo flight. Really hope it wasn’t too bad!”
Zenyatta just folded his hands together, watching out the window beside him as the plane began to descend from the clouds and onto the runway of the Numbani airport.
