In 23 years I’d never written a poem not assigned for class

In the last 4 months ive written twelve,  I wouldn’t necessarily call them poems. There is no rhyme scheme no iambic pentameter to speak of, its more a vivid stream of conscious thoughts. I wonder sometimes if you think this is how I talk to every girl, if you think the way I choose pricesly the right word To denote what feelings you bring out in me, or exactly the way I see you.

I wonder if you realize the effect you have on me, the way the world has more color when youre around.

How each word tastes better when saying it to you.

 In 23 years I’d never written a poem not assigned for class , But since I met you all my words sound better.

They feel melodic in their  delivery enhanced by your presence. You’d be surprised how boring my words are when they aren’t spoken of you.
