( d.claire ; 9:03 am ): do you want to practice some spells later? ( d.claire ; 9:03 am ): ps. very sorry if this woke you up.
a text that wasn’t sent.
( d.claire ; 4:10 am ): sometimes i wonder if you would ever try a healing spell on your aunt to make her better, in a sense. i’m sure there’s one with water related somewhere, something that would make things easier on you. as i type this i realize this is very nosey of me, i shouldn’t decide you need to do something for your aunt. this isn’t my business.
I would hurt you or use you. | you unsettle me. | I dislike you or you annoy me. | I would like to get to know you better. | I pity you. | you confuse me. | I feel indifferent towards you. | I would be friends with you. | I would fight by your side. | I would hug you or hold your hand. | I would kiss you. | I would sleep with you. | I would lie for you. | I would protect you. | I would fall in love with you. | I would kill for you | I respect you. | you are my family. | I don’t know you.
When it comes to role models, Caroline doesn’t have many in the traditional sense. She doesn’t have anyone in history, someone deceased, that she looks up to & aspires to be. In a way, role model isn’t even the right word, but there is one person that Caroline has so much respect for. Her mother, Liz Lahey, deals with so much on a daily basis. Between her ex-husband ending up as someone untrustworthy to supporting their now family of three on her own to handling the day to day chaos in the Mystic Hills Police Station— her mother has done so much to show Caroline what a true inspiration she is. While Liz isn’t always home twenty four seven due to work, she’s always there when the twins need her. The only reason she hadn’t intervened with their father quicker than she did was because of their silence about it & a mixture of his own dominance over the family. Still, regardless of everything that could have broken her down, Liz Lahey remains strong & Caroline aspires to have such inner strength like her mother does.
COPPER: how I think my muse will end up when they're older.
She hopes that things have calmed down when she’s older. Eventually, she wants to have a normal life. Is that possible? Probably not, but it doesn’t change the fact that she would want it. A family, children— a career she loves. In canon, they mention Caroline wanting to be in Broadcast Journalism, but I was never really sold on that. I always imagined her in some sort of even coordination. She is so good at it & she loves doing it. I truthfully could see her as a wedding planner, because those events are such joyous occasions, and she would do so well planning weddings. So, hopefully she’s still living up her werewolf pride, staying in contact with her family & friends, along with forming her own family & her own career path.
After Anne left Chris and Laura, she contacted Davina to help her find the counterspell and eventually the rest of their coven. There’s fire, breaking of pots and vases, and lots of shouting. But at least everyone is cured of being cave people!
Anne: pulled out her cellphone from her back pocket, looking for Davina's name before quickly typing out the message she wanted. 'Meet me at my shop in ten minutes, I think I figured out what is going on with everyone in the town. I'll explain more when I'm there." Two heads will definitely be better when finding the counter spell; and she needed to find it soon before some of the others in the coven get stuck as cavewomen. Anne made her journey back to her shop, trying to think of which books of hers would have the right counter spell.
Davina: was already on her way home from picking up a couple groceries, a movie night with Ava on her schedule. Things were put on hold, though, as her phone buzzed and she fished through her purse to pull it out. Anne's name flashed and with the new hope at fixing whatever the hell was going on, Davina asked Ava to drop her off at Anne's shop. Within minutes she arrived, rushing out of the car and into the familiar setting. "So, what's going on?"
Anne: frantically searched around for her books, placing them all around the table she had in the back room, trying to stay calm but even her plants could tell she was freaking out a little. cavemen and cavewomen, running around Mystic Hills like they needed this problem in their lives. On the bright side, at least it wasn't a demon, but on the other side, three of the coven have been effected. All because of beer and a party; something Anne felt suddenly grateful that Davina didn't like parties. She heard the familiar ding of her shop's door opening and Davina's voice shortly behind. "Magic. More like a potion that makes people who take it go back to their more primitive instincts and motor skills. Basically, anyone from the party the other night drinking out of the kegs are currently cavepeople. And I need help finding a counter spell." Her hands were flailing all over the place, a nervous quirk of hers, before finally gesturing to her table. "And we need to hurry, I'm afraid to think of what prolonged exposure might do."
Davina: stepped closer to the fellow witch, gazing around the shop. She nodded, thinking about all the people she'd run into who were acting crazy. "Cavepeople?" she questioned, even though she'd heard clear enough. "Why would anyone want to do that? Do you think it could be an accident? Or maybe someone just likes history a bit too much." The younger witch glanced at Anne's actions, trying to think of something that would counter a spell like this. "Hurry, okay." Davina picked up one of the books and skimmed the pages, seeing if something would catch her eye. "Why can't this be as easy as making them watch Back to the Future?" she joked, annoyance clearly in her voice. "Or would getting the beer completely out of their system help?"
Anne: didn't know why anyone would want to do this. Chris Argent and Laura Hale were on their way to talk to the possible suspect, which left Anne to find the counter spell. She looked through one book, trying to focus her energy on the spell she would need but the pages didn't jump out at her like they should. "I hope Chris Argent and Laura Hale figure it out, they're on their way to talk to someone. -- Their reason is currently unknown but I can guess it was to make a point of all the underage drinkers at the party. Most of the people acting as cavepeople seem to be high school age or under twenty one, which is what brought us to the idea of the party -- more so Laura's idea." Anne flipped through book after book, feeling more frustrated after each book. "It should have been out of their system, if it worked like that, but if anything it looks like the spell is only progressing; I've never seen anything like this." Anne sat down in a chair, slumping for a moment trying to think if she forgot about a book somewhere.
Davina: kept glancing through pages, letting out a small sigh. What fun was it to look through a book? Why would someone choose cavepeople? It was all so weird to Davina, but she didn't let herself focus on that. They needed to find a counter spell as fast as possible, and she needed to spend her time thinking and looking. "It's a good thing I wasn't at the party then, huh?" She grinned, feeling as if she'd earned brownie points with Anne on this one. Listening to the older woman's words, Davina watched her slump down in defeat. Maybe there was something they were missing, or some how they could fix this without magic. "Maybe once they find whoever did this--" No, that would be too late. There was the chance that the spell could somehow be permanent if they didn't fix it in time. "Are you sure we're not missing something?"
Anne: felt a small smile tug on her lips as she went through an old book, mostly at Davina's words about not going to the party. It definitely had its perks, otherwise she would be alone in this search and it would be doubly frustrating. "I'm very pleased you didn't go, I don't think I could have done this without you." Anne stopped looking at the books to look at Davina, smile fading quickly as the question the other witch asked finally registered. Something missing. It was as if a light bulb went off on in her head before she shoved books out of her way until she found it, a book that held very simple potions and counter spells -- very overlooked potions. She focused her energy on what she was looking for, allowing the book to open up to the page she's looking for. "Here we go! This is probably the potion that was used, very chemical with a hint of magic. I would have over looked it, most would, you would think it was powerful magic to have all these people become cavepeople -- when in reality, they're magically roofied. Here's the counter spell, seems easy enough but we're going to need the rest of the girls."
Davina: returned the smile, glad to feel and be useful in figuring this thing out. If she didn't feel as if she had a duty to watch out over Ava, she would probably feel a bit differently about partying. She wouldn't drink, but she would at least attempt to have fun. As Anne shuffled around, she stood up straight, wondering if they'd made a breakthrough. Davina glanced down to skim over the counter spell, nodding at the other woman's words. "Awesome, alright." She scratched her head for a second, trying think about where the girls were. They needed to find them as soon as possible, going around town searching for them wouldn't be effective enough. "Let's do some scrying for them, that can't take long. Where's the map?"
Anne: pointed to the shelves on the other side of the room, "the map should be on the third shelf, rolled up. I am glad I was able to find a good map of the town when I came here, otherwise so much of what we can do individually could be useless. Here, spread it out on the table, I'll get the crystal and something of the girls." Anne went to various parts of the backroom, finding bits of what the coven girls left after various meetings for magic. They use the backroom pretty often, which would make locating them that much easier. Once the elder witch gathered the materials, she met Davina back at the table. Holding all of the items in one hand, and the crystal pendant on the other, she slowly moved the crystal over the map. It would slowly rotate in a circle, then eventually faster and faster as she moved. Then suddenly it stopped over one place that Anne marked as the Grill. "Well they make it easy. Looking for food and probably more beer, seems to be a driving force for all of the cavepeople. This isn't going to be easy, so are you up for the challenge?"
Davina: listened to the woman's instructions with a nod, immediately walking over to where Anne had instructed the map would be. Sure enough, on the third shelf, there was a huge rolled up piece of paper than when Davina unraveled, showed a map of Mystic Hills. When she had found her item, she made her way back to the table and spread the map out, wondering where the girls could be. They couldn't have gone too far -- it was unlikely they were able to operate a vehicle, and she really hoped they hadn't tried. She watched Anne do her magic with the crystal, in awe of how cool it was. At her question, the younger witch nodded, a huge smirk on her face. "I'm always up for a good challenge." The Grill was a familiar place they both knew well, and Davina thought for a moment, knowing the girls were attracted to beer and food. "Do you have any alcohol, by chance? Or, a solid cup that we could fill with water and say is alcohol?"
Anne: raised her eyebrows in surprise at the last question, did she have alcohol? She did but she didn't have beer, which is what the magic started in so they might not want that. "I think we're better off bribing them with it. I know when I was with Lydia earlier, with the promise of food it was easier to get her into the Grill. So if we get some food from the Grill, say there's beer back here and hopefully they'll follow along. I just hope they could pay attention long enough to get this spell done." Anne offered a smile towards Davina before getting herself ready to head to the Grill. "Let's go," and with that they were on their way to their destination; hopefully Lydia, Kira and Bonnie would be easier to wrangle than originally thought.
Davina: nodded, pushing hair out of her face. Bribery would have to do for the moment, and the promise of beer at the shop would need to be enough. She followed Anne without another word, the Mystic Grill in her mind. The other three girls in the coven were there, and Davina felt a bit nervous. It was exciting, yet to know someone had spiked the beer with a potion like that seemed a bit odd. Ever since they had closed the Hellmouth, things had felt better, but maybe she'd been too hopeful. As they approached, Davina opened the door for Anne and walked in behind her, not exactly ready to see the Grill falling apart.
Anne: knew it wouldn't take long to get to the Grill, most shops weren't too far from the Grill including her own shop. So once they got there, Anne braced herself for the worst, like maybe a destroyed Grill or very angry coven members who don't want to leave. Still, she needed them back in her shop because they needed to do that spell, desperately. "Okay tell me if you see anyone and we'll go in together, it will be easier." But as soon as the words left, Anne didn't need to wait for Davina to see anyone. The three girls were in a booth not too far from them, well not exactly in a booth. More like on top of with a very confused looking waitress asking them to get down. "Look, over there. I'll ask the waitress to get some food, even if its cold or old because they won't care, and you get the girls down, okay?"
Davina: couldn't help but laugh at what she saw, knowing she would never let them live it down -- it was just too funny. "Okay," she agreed, walking over to the table. "You three need to get down." Davina tried, clapping her hands a couple times to get their attention. With a failed attempt, she sighed, glancing around the restaurant. Besides the multiple cavepeople, the place was practically empty. She spun back around to set her focus on a couple cups of water a table over and sent the water flying at the girls, splashing all over them. "Now you're all wet! Get down or I'll do it again!"
Lydia: did not want to get off of the table. She was having fun and she didn't see why she had to get down just so Davina and Anne could do something boring and witchy. She was having fun! Chris said she should have fun and she was having fun. Bonnie reacted to the water first, turning to stare at Davina with a glare. Why did Davina have to be a buzzkill instead of joining in with them? They never got to have fun. Neither of the two moved, but Lydia spoke up first. "Davina stop water. Davina not nice.".
Kira: was glad they got to mess around at the grill. It was fun to mess around for a little bit, she had realized. Except Davina and Anne showed up and ruined everything. She jumped up and down on the top of the booth, eyes narrowed as the two girls got closer. She was upset by the splashing of water and felt annoyed at Davina suddenly. She shrieked as it hit her, somehow making her colder. "Davina! That's not good. Kira doesn't like that." She looked at Anne, practically signaling for help. "Get Davina."
Anne: felt so incredibly grateful when there was food in her hands and she could tempt the girls with it. "Okay okay, stop with the water. Girls, see this? Food. Yes, come follow me to where we can eat it. There will also be beer, do you like beer?" She sounded so patronizing, like someone talking to a baby and it made her feel terrible, just the idea of talking to her coven this way. They don't deserve it but she felt sure that they wouldn't understand if she spoke normally. "Come on, food at my place. That's it, one by one out the door." This is going to be interesting.
Davina: crossed her arms across her chest, glaring back at the girls. "Yeah, well Davina is very irritated and wants you to get off the table." she replied, making hand gestures. It was like she was babysitting children, and it was incredibly annoying. Whoever chose this potion to put on the town was going to get a knuckle sandwich and broken pipes from her. At Anne's words, she spun around and pointed toward the food, glancing back at the other three. "Now we have the task of keeping them there," she noted, being the last one out the door as they returned back to Anne's shop.
Kira: sniffed the air for a moment, the smell of food making her stomach growl. Suddenly Anne showed up with food and she would do anything to get it. She followed cautiously as Anne took the food near the door, and slowly, went out it. She smiled at Bonnie and Lydia, shoving their shoulders playfully. "We get food. We get food now." She was still offended at the water trick and didn't look at Davina, almost pouting about it. "Should get food now. We follow."
Lydia: and bonnie were both lured in by the promise of food and beer - mostly beer, beer was good. As they reached the shop, Lydia ran in first and looked around for the beer, turning around ot look at Anne with a betrayed look. "No beer! No beer here! Anne lie!". At Lydia's yell Bonnie also turned to Anne in anger, her hand forming a tight fist as flames erupted in a pile of books. Lydia jumped back from the fire in fear while Bonnie shouted. "Where beer? Where beer?".
Kira: freaked out when the fire erupted, trying to get as far away from it as possible. In the process, she had no control of her magic and was throwing things everywhere, breaking valuables left and right.
Anne: felt herself starting to lose patience, seeing that her books are suddenly on fire. "ENOUGH!" The word rang out, just as some of the pots she's supposed to sell are breaking all around her. "Kira, calm down. Davina, put that fire out. Luckily there is enough lavender flowers in the shop that she was able to make them smell more powerful, creating a more calming aroma around them. "Now, the three of you. Calm down and take each other's hands, then take mine and Davina's," she spoke in a stern manner, completely different than the tone she used in the Grill. If she was to have any authority, it would be now. "Davina and I will chant the spell, do not be alarmed and don't break contact. I need you all to be normal again." Her last words were softer, as she placed the spell in front of her and Davina. She began the chant, focusing her energy through the rest of the coven.
Davina: didn't even wait for instructions as the fire was starting, taking the amounts of water in Anne's pots to come together to splash onto the flames. She did it almost instantly, giving Bonnie a look. They needed to do this before someone ended up destroying the shop. Davina took Anne's hand and Lydia's hand, the two closest to her, and nodded toward Anne. The younger witch joined the older one in the spell, closing her eyes and concentrating as best as she could. All she could focus on was making sure they would be normal, imagining what it would be like when they were, and how much Davina would probably laugh at them. Opening her eyes, they finished the chant and she glanced over at the three, seeing if they were back to normal.
Kira: felt one emotion more than any other: confusion. She felt like the past day(s) had never happened, but she knew they had. It felt like a nightmare of sorts. Her hands went up to her mouth and she looked around the now trashed shop. "Oh my god. We did this. Anne, I'm so sorry, and Davina. And everyone." She couldn't help the reddish tint that touched her cheeks from embarrassment, looking around the circle. "What happened?"
Lydia: stumbled back once the chant was done, losing her grip on the others and staring at the ground, unable to face up to looking at any of them. After all of the anger she'd felt she was now struck with guilt and embarrassment. Her wrists were aching from where Scott's claws had dug into them, she pulled her shirt down to cover the congealed blood left there and looked up at Anne guitily. " Anne... I'm so sorry.". Bonnie's eyes were fixed on the books she'd set ablaze, shame prickling at the back of her neck next to anger. The fact that this had happened to them made her more than angry, but for now all she could focus on was her own actions. She turned to Anne and gave a smalla, apologetic smile, unsure of what to say.
Anne: felt herself finally relax, which made her slump in a chair nearby. "It isn't like any of you were able to help it, you were spelled to act like cavewomen. What happened was someone decided to tamper with the beer you all drank from at the party, the motive I'm unsure of but I'm sure Chris Argent and Laura are getting the information now. I'm just glad to have you all normal again, and in one piece. I hope no one got seriously hurt, but everything was so hectic, I don't even know. -- At least now we can all rest and feel better, maybe start apologizing to other people. Go check on your friends and family, I think I'm going to go up to my apartment and relax." Anne gave her girls a smile, despite how tired she felt suddenly, it was still a bright smile. "Next time there's a party, tell me so I can magically test the alcohol. I can't go through this again."
