Meet Maratus Pardus, the Leopard-spotted Peacock spider! Spiders are gentle and delicate creatures, and they can be pretty too 💖
This piece was inspired by my partner’s arachnophobia which taught us to appreciate and see beauty in these little critters. I should also thank our fluffy friend Aragon (can you tell he’s proud??) and @juniperhollowcreations for inspiration!
Original artwork. Barn owls painted in watercolour and gouache.
The frame is 3D-printed (model originally by the_craftworks, I printed the remix by beecat) and then hand-painted in acrylics by me.
The back of the frame was designed by myself in Blender (probably poorly; I have no idea what I'm doing with 3D modeling). The painting is preserved with UV-protective varnish and a thin layer of wax medium.
This particular one is already sold before I got the chance to upload it.
