The āToadās potionsā
āThe Glaswegian Seagullā depicts a seagull as a key symbol of the Scottish urban environment, with a touch of local humour.
The inspiration for the āGlaswegian Seagullā came from witnessing (and experiencing firsthand!) the chaotic silliness and savagery of the Scottish seagulls, and from a Glaswegian tradition of ādecoratingā the Duke of Wellington statue with traffic cones.
āPaper dreamsā, gouache on watercolour paper
This painting was way above my skill level and I got so frustrated with it. I gave up and didnāt paint everything I planned to but Iāll definitely will be repainting it with either oils or acrylics on a bigger canvas.
I made medieval-themed ACEO bookmarks
My brain couldnāt compute how to paint that napkin and the table š
After painting with gouache and watercolour, acrylic feels like cheating, haha. You can just paint over your mistakes again and again (and againā¦). Which makes it a good medium for learning colour mixing and blending, Iāll definitely be experimenting with it more!
Experimenting with frames and outdoors photos
I have an unexplainable urge to collect things, right now itās feathers šŖ¶ Who knew that you can frame whatās basically trash from the ground and itāll look pretty š
āStargazersā, inspired by the Starry Night and a stargazy pie
Halloween but make it cute šš·ļøāØ
Meet Maratus Pardus, the Leopard-spotted Peacock spider! Spiders are gentle and delicate creatures, and they can be pretty too š
This piece was inspired by my partnerās arachnophobia which taught us to appreciate and see beauty in these little critters. I should also thank our fluffy friend Aragon (can you tell heās proud??) and @juniperhollowcreations for inspiration!
