Can you do some twst characters with a Yuu that (non sexually) age regresses? like not to a baby type age, more of an older toddler to 1st grader age (whatever that is...) because that was normally the mental state i was in when i used to regress, for characters i would specifically like Kalim, ruggie, ortho, grim and maybe a teacher!!! any other characters if you have ideas for them are welcome!! dont pressure urself to do more tho lolz :))
when i used to regress it was due to me being in bad moods or just feeling comfortable around a person enough to be able to let go for a bit, so for a scenario it could be just hanging out with the person if its more of a story type thing, if its more headcanons (which i dont mind!) you can come up with the scenario!! id love to see what you come up with :D
please dont feel pressured to write this request, its totally ok if you dont! thanks for the fics <33 ☀️
KALIM, RUGGIE, ORTHO, GRIM AND TREIN WITH YUU
Where Yuu age regresses
Before starting the headcanons, I wanted to briefly clarify what regression is, since it was something I didn't know about and it was important for me to clarify it <3
Yuu is experiencing regression, their mind temporarily shifts into a much younger state, around toddler to early grade school age. This can happen when they're overwhelmed, anxious, or in a bad mood, as a way to cope and self-soothe, or when they feel very safe and cared for, letting themselves relax and “be little.” It’s not pretend or fake. it’s a real shift in mental state where Yuu feels emotionally like a small child, even if they still know deep down they’re older. It’s not harmful, wrong, or weird. It's just a coping mechanism that helps Yuu feel safe and regulated, especially with people they trust.
Kalim’s the person who wouldn’t just accept your regression, he’d embrace it.
When it first happens, he’s a little confused at first ("Wait, Yuu, are you okay? You’re talking kinda different..."), but when he realizes you’re not distressed, just in a more vulnerable, little mindset, he relaxes completely.
“Do you want me to talk softer? Want me to get you a snack or something fun to do?”
He's instantly instantly pulling out coloring books, building pillow forts, and offering you sparkly fruit juice.
He might hum songs from his childhood, or let you wear one of his scarves as a “magic cape.”
Very physically affectionate in a way that’s comforting, like patting your head, gently rubbing your back, or holding your hand while walking you around Scarabia.
“You can just be however you feel today, okay? I’ll take care of the hard stuff for now!”
Ruggie picks up on changes in mood instantly, he grew up looking after younger kids in the slums.
The moment you start slipping into a more childlike state, he switches gears, his voice softens, his pace slows down.
He doesn’t make a big deal out of it. Just rolls with it like it’s completely normal.
“Aw, you’re havin’ one of those days, huh? That’s alright. I gotcha.”
He might distract you with snacks or games ("Wanna help me count how many donut are in the bag? You gotta be real careful though!")
He’ll handle adult stuff, but still treat you like a capable little helper.
If anyone tries to mock you for regressing, they’re getting ruggied, passive-aggressively chewed out and possibly pickpocketed hehe.
“You’re safe with me, short stuff. I’ve wrangled entire packs of toddlers—this? Easy.”
Ortho scans and registers your emotional state realizing you're regressing as a self-soothing mechanism.
“Yuu, your speech patterns and posture suggest a regression to childhood comfort behaviors. That’s okay! I’m here to help!”
His voice softens, hair lights with a gentler hue, and he starts suggesting activities like puzzles, music, or games.
He customizes content for you, kid-friendly shows on a holographic screen, bedtime stories, or digital coloring apps with sparkly.
Also has a built-in comfort mode, calming background sounds, auto-hug function (if you want), and biometric readings to help you stay regulated.
Will firmly protect your boundaries, even from Idia ("You’re not allowed to tease Yuu right now. They’re in a delicate state. Kindly go sulk elsewhere.")
“I’ll stay right here, okay? You don’t have to be grown-up around me. I’ll take care of everything until you’re ready.”
Grim acts like he’s annoyed… but he becomes your fiercest guardian when you regress.
“Ugh, what’s wrong with you today—wait, are you cryin’? Hey! No crying! Come here, I’m the Great Grim! I gotcha.”
Pulls you into a cuddle complaining the whole time.
Will distract you by telling about how awesome he is, showing you shiny things he found, or dragging you around campus like your buddy.
Gets very serious if you’re upset while regressed. He’ll curl in your lap while he guards you from the world <3
If someone tries to laugh at you for how you're acting, he’ll unleash the full fury in a fireball of a cat with main character syndrome.
“Nobody messes with my human, got it? They need a nap and snacks, not your attitude!"
You expected judgment. Instead, you got the gentlest father figure imaginable.
He notices the shift in behavior, speech, and emotional tone. You think you’ll be told off, but he closes his book slowly and says:
“Ah. You need to rest your adult mind for a while. That is perfectly reasonable.”
He allows you to sit in his office with Lucius curled in your lap. He may offer picture books or even read to you in a calm voice.
“Lucius is very fond of quiet, wellbehaved children. I believe you qualify.”
Gives you little tasks to “help”—sorting pens by color, stacking papers, or feeding Lucius a treat.
You feel intensely validated and seen. His approach feels like a grandfather or wise old tree: grounding, kind, patient.
“There is no shame in needing comfort, child. Even the oldest of us have days we wish to return to simpler times.”
Ah the Shroud brothers, one is my little pog champ, and the other is honorary little brother. I love them both so much and I just hmmmm I don’t know why they’re both such a huge form of comfort for me as of late. Here’s some good boys taking care of you while sick!
The intro is the same in all parts, so feel free to skip if you’ve already read it.

Ignihyde: When You’re Sick
The worst thing to ever happen to you while attending Night Raven College had to be, hands down, getting sick. You were alone in the dorm with only ghosts and Grim to keep you company, and as much as you loved them, they couldn’t take care of you when you became sick. This meant you had to make do and hope that everything was alright. Normally if you were under the weather, you’d just suck it up and go to class so as to not worry anyone. This time however, that wasn’t an option.
You woke up with every muscle in your body feeling sore and aching with even the slightest movement. Your stomach churned something fearsome and you had a runny nose and cough to boot. You had no idea what illness you had fallen to. Having so many symptoms…you could only assume it was the flu or something akin to that.
Still, there was no way you were making it to class like this. So begrudgingly you told Grim you weren’t feeling good and needed to rest, and to go to class and get your homework so you could do it later. The demon cat was grumpy about not having his henchman, but eventually gave in, leaving you alone to rest in your room and hope that whatever you had would go away.
Idia Shroud
Idia is going to take a while to figure out that you’re sick. He finds out near the end of the day when he logs on to play a game with you and notices that you’re not online. After shooting you a quick text to see if you were still down and getting no response, he sends Ortho to check in on you secretly. When Ortho reports that you seem to be at the dorm, sick as a dog, Idia feels worried and is pacing around his room, deciding if he wants to check in on you himself, or just send Ortho. He eventually decides to go there himself, despite the anxieties telling him not to.
He’s doing his research on the way to your dorm, as well as asking Ortho to help diagnose you. He’s not experienced in the slightest, and normally when he’s sick he’s either rotting away or Ortho is taking care of him. So really he has no idea what to do with someone who’s sick, but he’s seen enough romance anime to know some of the basics, so that’s what he’s going with. Thankfully Ortho is checking in to see what’s wrong with you, and then going into nurse mode until Idia shoos him away, telling him he can handle it.
He’s going to be doing the basics, like making sure you have some food and medicine, but other than that he’s hands off. He’s handing you the thermometer to take your own temperature, and he’s definitely not going to be feeding you. Still, he does give you one of his handheld consoles so you can play while you’re awake, and whenever you’re asleep he takes over and just relaxes on the chair in the corner of your room and plays his games. Thankfully he does notice when you’re awake though, despite how immersed he can sometimes get. He’s almost hyper aware of every movement you make.
Once you’re better he’s going to be a bit flustered as you thank him for taking care of you. He’s going to be stuttering over his words, saying it was nothing and not to mention it. His cheeks are a beautiful scarlet, as well as the tips of his hair, but he can’t stop smiling at being told he did a good job in something irl. He is going to be asking if this means you’d be willing to do a few raids with him though, as thanks. It’s up to you, but honestly why not? He’ll probably buy you some video game skins as well, so there’s always an incentive to do raids all night.
Ortho Shroud
Ortho likes to always greet you in the mornings, so when he notices that you aren’t with Grim, he’s going detective mode. He’s asking Grim exactly where you are, and when he says that you’re sick, Ortho is flying over to your dorm. He’s not even going to let Grim finish his sentence, one of his best friends is sick at home and has nobody to take care of them…not to mention this is the perfect excuse to use all the new gadgets that Idia gave him. He thinks the pinkie nail pill cutter is just the funnest thing and he’s planning on using it whether you need pills or not.
He has a nurse protocol integrating into his coding, so he’s probably the most adept out of everyone for tackling things. He could probably perform surgery if that’s what you needed…but thankfully you don’t. He is able to diagnose you with a flu right away after doing a basic scan, and he’s already formulating a care plan for you and emailing his instructors to send over your homework, as well as his own. He’ll do it for both of you so you don’t need to stress about it, then go over it all when you’re feeling better.
You’d think you were at a hospital with how Ortho takes care of it. Everything is precise and he’s even taking your vitals. He’s having a blast as well, using every gadget he owns for this exact moment. Normally he only gets to use them on Idia, and half the time his older brother tells him not to since it’s not needed. You’re a bit too sick to even do that, so you just let him. Thankfully he makes sure you have several small meals that are perfect for an upset stomach and sore throat, and he’s serving tea with your medication and something about the tea is made just right to wash away the bitter tasting medicine.
Ortho is going to insist that he monitors your condition for a few days after you’re all better. It’s not really an option either, so just be prepared for Ortho to show up at random intervals to take your vitals again and ask you some questions. He is also going to be going over all the work and classes you missed, so you don’t fall behind. After all the business side is done, he might be asking if you’d be okay to play games with him. He’s been having fun, sure, but now he wants to do something with you.
Reader’s Cooking is Worse than Lilia’s?! -Ignihyde Edition
Somehow, your cooking is worse than Lilia’s. Was it always like this, or did travelling to TWST change it?
Characters: Idia Shroud, Ortho Shroud
Content: platonic, crack, gender neutral reader

Idia Shroud
He is thankful that he’s a shut-in, and that he’s made it thus far without encountering you or your cooking. He’s also thankful that Ortho doesn’t fall victim like the others, and tells him to never bring in whatever it is that you made.
One day, this fails. Ortho said that he saw you make it, and nothing went wrong! It even passed all his calculations! With that Idia ate a bite and within seconds his hair took on a sickly blue-green glow. Looks like you won this round, Prefect.
After recovering, he installs some heavy-duty wards around Ignihyde and his room. They’ll trip and lock anyone out if it even detects the barest hint of your cooking. This has led Ortho to be locked out on more than one occasion.
He also has Ortho install a camera in the Ramshackle kitchen, just to keep an eye on you.
Ortho Shroud
He truly has no idea how his programming failed once Idia got sick. And now he’s locked out of Ignihyde because of his brother’s latest security system. Poor guy is having a rough go.
You let him crash at Ramshackle until Idia lets him back in, and he starts trying to figure out why your cooking is this bad. You do all the steps in the recipe right. The second you turn away though, it turns into some inedible blob. Now that’s odd.
He’s the first one to actually figure out that travelling through the Dark Mirror messed up your cooking, but it was only apparent when other people see it or eat it. Is it bad that he’s relieved? At least now he can get to work looking for a means to get rid of this hex and get back to his brother
Honestly the most helpful one out of the bunch. Thank you, Ortho!
Broskis, do you know how hard it is to write about an advanced AI robot kid getting sick? I had to actually use my brain to figure out how it might work, but I’m proud of what I ended up with, so I guess it all ended well. Please do enjoy!

Ignihyde: When They’re Sick
Oddly enough, when your diet consists of nothing but junk food, and you stay awake all night, it’s not uncommon to become sick. Idia knows this and tries to take somewhat decent care of himself, but it’s not going to stop him from eating noodles for every meal and sleeping after the sun has long since come up. In summary…Idia often finds himself sick from his own doing. This normally wasn't a problem since he could do online classes and had Ortho taking care of him, but when his beloved little brother happened to have gotten a virus somehow and was barely functioning. This meant Idia and Ortho were left to their own devices in trying to not die from a common illness and a computer virus.
Idia Shroud
Honestly Idia simply doesn’t care when he’s sick. Oh so he can’t sit on his computer all day without wanting to pass out? That’s fine, he has a handheld console and mobile games he needs to catch up on anyway. He isn’t the best at taking care of himself, which is why Ortho is normally the one to do it. When Ortho isn’t around…Lord help this man. He will be gaming even in death; health be damned. He will ignore all signs that his body is telling him to rest and continue to stay awake too late and chug energy drinks, even if he knows it’s going to make him worse.
How you found out he was sick without Ortho being there to inform you had to be some sort of magic. Idia is reluctant to even let you into the room, but he acknowledges the fact that you simply won’t leave and will bust down the door if he doesn’t; so he allows it. He’s going to be humiliated at the fact that you need to take care of him, and will constantly be saying that he’s gross and you shouldn’t get near or else you might get sick too. Ignore him and take care of the boy, he needs it. He can be scolded for self-deprecation when he’s all better, for now just assure him that he’s not gross and if you didn’t want to help him, you wouldn’t be there.
Honestly he doesn’t really need a whole lot of medication to make him feel better, the bare minimum is required. He might complain about it the entire time, but in the end he’ll take whatever you’ve brought. He swears up and down it won’t be very helpful, but after he starts feeling better he’s singing a different tune, but silently. He at least won’t complain when you hand him some pills anymore and take it without question. He’s going to call them stamina potions though to make himself feel better, saying he needs them to get rid of the sick buff he’s dealing with.
Unless you’re going to be chilling with him in his room for the entire time he’s sick, you’ll need to raid his bedroom and take away all the energy drinks, snacks, and instant noodles. They’re gonna make him feel worse but if he’s hungry and needs a boost of energy, he’s grabbing those when you’re not around. Thankfully he’s too ill and socially awkward to leave his room while he’s dying from a cold, so he won’t go out and grab things he doesn’t need. Leave him some healthy snacks and water bottles when you leave, and when you come to feed him make sure it actually has some nutritional value. His body might not know what to do with vegetables right away, but it’ll sort itself out in due time.
He doesn’t want to talk about it when he’s better; acting like it never happened is the best way to go about it. He will thank you a few times, and if you’re a gamer expect him to be sending you new skins for your characters, or dlc to your favorite games. He won’t say it’s for helping him while he’s sick, but you’ll know. He knows as well; and Ortho especially knows since the moment he’s back to normal he’s interrogating his brother about how he miraculously got better.
Ortho Shroud
Ortho isn’t going to be getting sick in the traditional way since he’s a robot, but something like a virus could cause some serious damage. Of course it doesn’t ever really happen, but sometimes things can’t be accounted for. One wrong site with the right kind of hacker and it’s over. Virus was installed and now Ortho is all out of sorts while Idia is trying to figure out how to get rid of it. If it’s a complex one…well it might take a day or two.
Ortho is still functioning to some degree, but his battery life keeps getting sapped and he’s constantly sitting on a charger and a little mopey that he can’t do what he normally does. It’s probably why he messaged you, since he can’t exactly assist his brother either. The moment you find out you better be over there to help out the little brother. The poor dear is going through it and doesn’t even know what’s wrong. For all he knows, it could infect his memory database and destroy everything he’s learned about you. So just sit there and help him out.
Laughter is the best medicine in this situation, so as long as you’re not bothering Idia, feel free to try and make Ortho feel more comfortable. Grab your phone and watch stupid cat videos, talk about something random that’s happened in your day, and play some multiplayer games on handheld devices. He’ll instantly be feeling lighter and more like himself, even if he does have to constantly reboot throughout the entire day.
While Ortho is rebooting or recharging and is offline, you might as well help Idia in any way you can. As long as that man is functioning, Ortho can be fixed. So maybe just bring him something to eat, maybe grab some water. It’s all for Ortho in the end anyway, and Idia will thank you for helping him. You might be asked to help him figure some simple things out, or check on Ortho as well.
Once the virus is cleared from his system he is going to be so energetic and asking to go and do things with you. He doesn’t even know how to begin repaying you for this, but he promises once he figures it out, he’ll let you know. He’ll be asking Idia for advice, but the poor man doesn’t have a single clue either. It’s the thought that counts, and just seeing Ortho being peppy and energetic again is all you really need, especially when you discover that nothing is permanently damaged in his hard drive.
In this household, we protect Ortho Shroud. But seriously, I read through all his Vignettes, and his ceremonial robes almost made me bawl like a baby. So in this, he’s being spoiled. He is not officially the fandom’s little brother well. Also, there’s Idia. I simp over him, but at this point, I will 100% punch him in the face if he does anything to upset Ortho. Also, if you haven’t caught up just yet, Ortho’s part is an entirely platonic relationship that I thought would be adorable because he deserves the world.

Beta read by Grammarly and it’s trying its best.
Idia is going to pretend like you don’t exist originally. Wherever you go, the entire campus follows. He swears you have followers from every dorm, and of course, they’re some of the most notable people in the entire school. Adding you to his friend list is only going to cause trouble for him and awkward social situations that he might not be able to avoid. Plus, what if he tells you something, and then the next day, everyone knows? He doesn’t peg you for the type, but he will always assume the worst in any social situation.
There are two ways to really befriend Idia. Either be a gamer and join in on MMO games or watch his streams…because this guy probably streams with his camera off but the voice on, being totally anonymous. If you know Idia, though, you might be able to tell from his voice, which is how you know it’s him when you join in the streams or gaming sessions with the mic on. Approach him later on and tell him you enjoyed gaming with him. He will be so confused as to how you figured out it was him, and if you explain it was his voice…well, he might get a subtle voice modifier that will change his voice dramatically over the course of the next year, so people don’t notice too much.
After his identity is out to you (and you swore to him you wouldn’t tell anyone), he decides you aren’t all bad. Might even give you his number so you can text him in your spare time. Idia is surprisingly talkative through text right out the gate, and his quick and witty comebacks will keep you on edge. Shoot him some, too, and he’ll be smiling like a schoolgirl in his room. He might join you on late-night snack run quests if you ask him to.
Ortho will be noticing the shift in his brother pretty fast. He’ll even bring it up to Idia, claiming that his vitals are going haywire, and ask if he’s having a heart attack. One look at Idia’s phone, though, and he’ll notice he’s texting you, and you just sent a photo of you and Grim looking absolutely adorable. Ortho connects the dots instantly and begins asking Idia when he’s going to be asking you out, as it’s clear he likes you. He will be kicked out of Idia’s room shortly after, only to find out wherever you are.
The main reason you’d ever be able to know that Idia likes you is through Ortho’s hard work. The kid is going to be around you more, telling you about his brother’s newest stuff, etc. Ortho is going to be noticing how sometimes your heart skips beats whenever you’re around his brother. Later on, he’ll be informing Idia that you reciprocate his feelings and how you two should just get into a relationship already. Idia is going to deny hardcore, which Ortho doesn’t understand because you can’t call data inconclusive when all the proof is sitting right there.
Ortho will be informing you of his brother’s infatuation even though he promised he wouldn’t. The kid is smart and knows you’ll have to confess first if you ever get into a relationship. Which is exactly what you do during one of your late-night gaming sessions with one another. Just casually sitting in his spare chair, which he bought for you when you came over. Just bring up that if you two were in a dating sim, you’d think you’d have racked up enough points to be considered a couple. Idia will be malfunctioning before realizing, “Oh…Ortho was right…huh.”
It’s going to be awkward at first. Idia speed-runs dating sims, so he doesn’t know how long it takes to get to the next level. When was the hand-holding level again? The kissing level has got to be a late-game unlock. You’ll have to be the one to initiate all the levels, though, because Idia doesn’t know what part of the game he is on. He is horribly lost in the map of relationships. Taking things slowly, so he doesn’t get overwhelmed is needed, though.
PDA isn’t something Idia is worried about, judging by how he doesn’t leave his room. All your dates will either be virtual or in his bedroom at first. He’ll go on 2 am snack runs with you, which he’ll count as a date if you hold his hand while sneaking around campus. He might even be a good boyfriend and one day show up for a class where he can be your partner, or in the (Hades Forbid) the cafeteria to have lunch with you.
Speaking of physical affection…it’s going to take a while to get there. He’s going to be very apprehensive at first and flaky. Might even jump up and run away if you try to kiss him at first. He wants to be able to do those things with you, but he doesn’t want to mess it up. Just take things slowly. Once you guys are finally there, he’ll be happy to steal kisses from you between matches and have you sit on his lap while he plays games. Even let you be there while he streams as long as you don’t do anything to fluster him.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played a video game before or if you’re an avid gamer. He’s going to be teaching you how to perfect your techniques. Unless it’s a game you dominate on, he’ll be showing you. The reason is he really wants to one day have you on his team one day, in a competitive way. He’s not going to force you, but he’d enjoy tournaments even more if you were by his side the entire time. He’ll even be calling you his “Player 2”, as lame as it sounds. Either way, he still wants to game with you. He’ll even buy you skins in games to match his own.
Ortho Shroud (Platonic)
Ever wanted a little brother? You got one now! Ortho Shroud is a little brother extraordinaire. It’s going to start with Ortho hanging out around you when Idia is locking himself in his room. Eventually, you’ll be inviting him, along with Grim and Adeuce, to do things. One day you might comment how he’s like the little brother you’ve always wanted. Then boom, he’s adopted into your little found family as the token little brother figure. He’ll take it in stride, as long as you don’t try to replace Idia (which you could never anyway).
Once Ortho has also accepted you into his little-found family as his older sibling, he’s going to be just as protective over you as he is with Idia. People better not say anything bad about you, or he will get defensive and, in some cases, scary. He’s almost like your little guard dog. When he’s not following Idia around, he’s probably going to be looking for you to play with him.
He might be a robot with a complex AI, but he’s also sentient and a child. He wants to go and do things other kids do. An amusement park? He'd be over the moon if he could go with someone. So invite him to do all those things. If you manage to drag Idia along (promising you’ll handle all the social interactions), then Ortho can die happy. He’s going to want to go on every single ride there is. Since he can’t exactly eat food, he’s going to be wanting you to try it and describe it all for him.
Convince Idia to leave his room to hang out with you guys like a real family would. Ortho is always wanting memories with Idia, so please do it. Even if you have to threaten Idia with tying him up with ropes so he’ll go. Blackmailing him with knowledge of the hentai games you’ve seen on his PC the few times you’ve been in there (don’t let him know why you recognize them, though). Just get him out of his room so Ortho can spend time with his brother.
Ortho is going to be wanting photos. Get out your Ghost Camera and take as many as you can. Ortho probably has some add-on that allows him to take photos of people or videos automatically, so there are hundreds of candid shots he has of you and everyone else. Invite him over to Ramshackle and print out all the photos and make a huge album for him. It’s going to be his most treasured possession, even if he has all the photos in his database for whenever he wants to see them. Looking at the photos with your handwriting next to some and the random stickers (as well as a Grim paw-print) just holds something special.
Ortho is already making sure Idia is taking care of himself, and with you being part of the family now, you’re no exception. This is good if you happen to get lost in chores or hobbies and forget about the basics like showering, sleeping, eating, etc. Ortho might even convince Idia to make you a watch with reminders like “Hey, brush your teeth; it’s close to bedtime.” Type of thing. Ortho might also just show up if he notices you’re awake too late and remind you that sleep is essential and you won’t be well in classes tomorrow if you don’t sleep.
Now you already had your own found family before meeting Ortho, and he’s in the form of a little fuzzy demon cat. When you become part of Ortho’s family, so does Grim. Ortho has three siblings total, and one of them happens to not be a human, and that’s fine. He will want Grim to join you guys on adventures as well, which, thankfully, the grouchy monster will actually be down to go because he’s gotta watch over his henchman and make sure nothing fishy happens.
If there’s a test coming up and you express having issues with it, Ortho is there. Drag along Grim, and you have a mini-study group. Ortho already has the knowledge and has researched just about every way people learn and will figure out what works best for the two of you. If it’s hands-on, say no more. If you learn by watching, he’ll show you. You need details instructions written for you. Oh boy, let him print them out. He loves it when his loved ones succeed, so he wants you to do well. Plus, if you don’t, then supplementary classes take away time spent.
He’s so excited whenever he gets a new upgrade that he’s going to be showing it off to you. Better get a notebook to keep track of all these new things that Ortho has on him. He’ll even ask if he can try them out with you. Let him do a scan of your body to make sure you’re healthy. Let him take apart your phone and rebuild it with his new software. He promises that everything will work out since Idia built it into him.
Quality time is the best time spent. Want to learn a new hobby? Maybe how to draw, sculpt, or knit? Even if Ortho could technically download that knowledge, if you ask to learn together, he won’t mind. He’ll sit down and fumble around with these new things with you and laugh at all the mistakes. Maybe find a way to drag Idia in with you. Want to learn how to draw? Drag Idia into the mix, and he’ll be like a teacher as he shows you and Ortho how everything is done.
So Ortho is totally platonic in this part! Also I definitely recommend reading it since Idia and Ortho’s parts kinda go together. They can be read separately, but I wrote them to be read together.

Ignihyde: Snowy Days
There was something to be said about those in Ignihyde’s dorm; they didn’t like doing fun winter activities. They enjoyed the cold and how it was good for their electronics, but actually going out and having fun was something foreign to them. The only one who seemed to be excited at the first falling of snow was Ortho who had a childlike wonder about it and all the things he could do, but he never actually got to do the fun things he dreamed of due to having nobody to do it with. This had to change.
Idia Shroud
You knew something had to be changed once you saw how sad Ortho looked. He had been messaging you earlier about wanting to go out and build a snowman with you and his brother, but Idia was being stubborn again. You walked into the dorm just to watch Ortho knocking on Idia’s door.
“Do you want to build a snowman, brother?” Ortho asked, shuffling outside the door on his jets, “Ramshackle’s prefect is here…” Ortho managed to say and you heard something from inside the room, “Please?” Ortho said and you could tell whatever was being said was negative. Ortho looked down before turning, noticing you arrived.
“You’re here!” Ortho said happily, flying over to you, “I am sorry, but Idia won’t be joining us.” Ortho said, making you chuckle.
“Yes he is, don’t be silly, Ortho.” You said before humming, “Why don’t you put on some winter clothes. I know you don’t get cold, but it makes the atmosphere better, right?” You said and Ortho looked confused.
“Sure…but Idia said he wouldn’t be going and I couldn’t sense any lies from him.” Ortho said and you hummed.
“Sense any lies from me?” You asked, leaning down to face him. Ortho looked at you, before his eyes widened.
“If you insist, then I shall get changed.” Ortho said as he left you in the hall. You approached Idia’s door and knocked on it, announcing your presence.
“Alright Idia, imma give you to the count of three to open the door for me.” You said, knowing it was locked since Ortho didn’t just barge right in there.
“I’m not going out there; it’s too cold.” Idia groaned, from behind his door.
“Good news, the invention of a coat has been around for centuries just for these weather conditions.” You said, before clearing your throat. “One!” You said, and Idia shouted to go away, “Two!” You said louder, waiting to see if he’d be smart. It was silent and he clearly hadn’t gotten up, “Three!”
Fun thing about Idia was, despite how much technology he had, he had one simple flaw. His door was just that…a door. No specialized locks or mechanisms. No metal paneling on the inside. It was just a normal door. Which meant when your foot violently kicked it, with all the force you could muster, it just slammed right open and broke off a hinge or two. It was also an old door. You knew he could afford to get a new one, so you didn’t feel bad at all.
“What the fuck!” Idia said, looking horrified that you literally broke his door down.
“I gave you the count of three, didn’t I?” You asked, walking over to his desk and putting your hand on it.
“You broke my door.” Oh, now he was annoyed.
“You broke your brother’s little heart. I think my crime is forgivable, in comparison.” You said, placing a hand over your chest, “Now come on, put on some warm clothes and then we’ll leave.” You said, making Idia groan.
“Fine…” he murmured, getting up and going to his closet. He managed to find an even bigger and fluffier jacket than what he normally wore. He tossed his other jacket off, but before he could put on the new one, you had walked over to him. He hummed, looking down at you before noticing you placed your hands on his chest.
“I promise I’ll give you a reward, if you stay out with us for an hour.” You told him. He felt his cheeks warming up at your proximity and his blue hair flickered the same shade of pink at the ends.
“I uh what do you…” Idia said before you cut him off with a quick kiss to his lips.
“There, a sneak preview. Now come on, Ortho is probably waiting at the entrance.” You said, patting his chest and leaving.
Ortho Shroud
Ortho was almost vibrating from excitement as you all made your way out to the fields of the school. Since most people were long gone for the holidays, it left you guys and a handful of other students. Thankfully, for Idia at least, this meant nobody would be outside to witness unless they decided they needed to take a stroll at this exact moment.
“Ah! What should we do first?” Ortho asked, as he ran over to you. He had been smart and changed into his athletic gear so his blasters wouldn’t melt all the snow around him. The snow crunched under him and he seemed to find it fascinating, stomping a bit to hear the noise more.
“How about we build a snowman together? We brought supplies to decorate it, after all.” You said, holding up the bag you brought from Ramshackle. Ortho buzzed happily while looking around; the small boy pointed at an area across the fields.
“There, that would be perfect over there!” Ortho said and Idia sighed.
“Wouldn’t it be fine anywhere?” Idia asked, as Ortho hummed, before shaking his head.
“We need to make sure it's flat so we don't have to worry about rolling the larger balls up the hill, and we need to check to make sure when the wind blows that the snow from the trees won’t fall onto it. So over there is best.” Ortho concluded. The three of you made your way over, for the most part, it was pretty easy.
Ortho had the strength to help lift the larger balls on top of the snowman, and soon you had a pretty good looking one. You finished it up with the eyes, nose, and of course a top hat. You stood there and smiled at your creation…well two of you did.
“Is that all? Can we go back inside?” Idia sighed, watching his breath fan out. You huffed as you shook your head. You loved the man at times, and he did make Ortho happy, but god damn was he hard to convince to have fun if it didn’t involve video games. You couldn’t help, but ball up some snow and toss it at his face.
Idia froze for a moment, blinking as the snow fell off his face. He then turned to you with a glare, “What was that for?” Idia said and you snickered.
“Oh, I was just thinking a snowball fight would be an amazing way to spend time out here…right Ortho?” You said, chuckling at how annoyed Idia looked.
“A snowball fight! Thank sounds like so much fun…can we, big brother?” Ortho asked, Idia couldn’t exactly say no…but not for normal reasons. Idia grabbed a ball of snow and tossed it at you, as hard as he could. It slammed into your chest and that was it.
Ortho, being the good boy he was, just laughed while chucking snowballs at everyone, meanwhile his brother and friend were currently trying to murder each other, with hurling balls of packed snow at one another.
It took an hour, before you guys decided to call it quits, the snow freezing your entire body as you made your way over to Ramshackle. Your dorm would sadly be warmer than Ignihyde with the fireplace roaring at all times this time of year.
Ortho chuckled as he opened the door for you and Idia, both shivering from the cold. Idia walked in first, but Ortho stopped you, before you could enter.
“Hey, whatcha need, bud?” You asked Ortho who tugged at your jacket.
“I wanted to thank you for helping get Idia out and playing with us…” Ortho said and you swore your heart leapt out of your chest. You chuckled and bent down, giving the robot child a kiss on the forehead.
“Anything for my little brother.”

Injured Reader Headcanons
Idia Shroud
Idia isn’t too well versed when it comes to injuries. Sure, he’s hurt himself a few times when building things, but it’s never really serious. Last time he was seriously injured was in his childhood, and he kinda blocked it out. He normally just has Ortho treat his injuries and then continue on like it didn’t happen. His pain tolerance is pretty high though, so half the time he doesn’t even realize he was injured at all until Ortho says something.
Idia is both concerned and amazed as to how you injured yourself while you were on his bed, playing on one of his hand-held consoles. One moment you’re fine, then the next you let out a small pained noise. Turns out, you kicked the wall pretty damn hard and your foot hurt. He is going to make sure it’s not serious, and as long as it’s fine, he’ll tease you about being a total idiot, and how you really should be more careful.
If it’s something that needs to be treated, Idia is calling for Ortho. He had equipped him with medical supplies for a reason, and he was going to make sure they were put to good use. There was one point where he thought it was stupid to install all those extra things into Ortho, but seeing you hurt made him happy he kept them all. He’ll offer to let you stay in his bed for a while, at least until you feel well enough to go back home.
Ortho Shroud
Ortho might not get injured, but oh boy does he know how to treat them. He has so much medical knowledge downloaded into his software that he might as well be a doctor. It helps that he really does enjoy using all the tools at his disposal to help out his friends. He hates when those he cares about get injured, but he also understands he gets some giddy kind of emotion going through his hard drive at the thought of helping them out.
Now when he sees you get injured, he’s more concerned than excited. Running over to you and assessing the damage. He didn’t know how you managed to cut yourself so badly on a sheet of paper, but you were bleeding more than you should’ve. He’s rushing around to make sure you’re fine, even if you assure him you can handle it with a small plaster. What if it gets infested? Sepsis kicks in? You lose your hand? Ortho simply cannot allow it!
Ortho is carrying you to the nurses office as fast as his blasters can take him. He can treat you on the spot, sure, but he read once that humans tended to feel more comfortable when treated in a sterile environment. He’ll use everything he has to make sure you’re okay. Once you guys finish up, he even gives you a small sticker with a smiley face, and assures you that if you scratch it, it has a pleasant aroma to it. He is going to ask that you’re more careful in the future though.
